Tqsl makes my Hair Bleed
Hi Mark,
It's a very complicated solution to a very time consuming problem. They could have made it easier, but considering the amount of time operators and the league used to have to put in to issue awards, the solution was the best and most secure of it's time. The use of a signed key pair validation method is used in all sorts for different data verification models and is the standard for almost all digital identification. It's usually all hidden behind a layer of IT people that install and maintain the keys. In this case, the operator must become that layer. Thus the complexity and bleeding hair... :)

I've moved it between 4 machines and a half dozen rebuilds. I just keep the export file on a USB now and on my radio backup. Moved it between Windows, Ubuntu and Raspbian.

Where would you put it in Armbian? I'm Linux ignorant, but trying to learn. I want to move my key to my Inovato Quadra Linux machine and I am a bit clueless. 73 KN6ZVI

It is super easy. Log4OM not so much.
Yeah, but once you get it setup it really sings for you. I have a whole group of videos on getting Log4OM2 setup and automatically uploading to LoTW, QRZ and EQSL. Here's the playlist:

As long I have a backup of the certificate file... can't I just install TQSL from scratch and upload the certificate file?
Yes, but you will need to have a backup that contains both the cert and private key. You will also need to setup your location info and all that fun stuff again as well.

Why not use the backup function?
The backup function doesn't store everything. Things like the dupe database and other databases are not backed up. The goal was to move the program so I took that path that gets everything over to the other PC.

Hi thanks... just old Tech is all. Expired cert...waiting on renew..

Yeah, I wish that they would send you a reminder or something that tells you the cert was expiring. I do think that it expires when your license is up for renewal which might be a thought.
I haven't gone through the renewal process yet, do they just resign the cert or do you have to generate a new key and request?

Great suggestion! I've never used Grid Tracker but have heard there are issues with the way that WSJT-x and N1MM interact that makes it a bit challenging. Will try to set it up and test!
