    Raw and animalistic.....perfect description of the feeling of this song. This woman is in tune!

    “You men eat your dinner eat your pork and beans, I eat more chicken any man ever seen.” He was being treated better than the husband.

      Eating chicken IS an old timey reference to anal sex

      You are right I looked it up and that’s what the lyrics say. Meaning the wife he’s having a affair with feeds her husband pork and beans while saving the chicken for him. I never put it together before, even though I new the lyrics!!!???? Duh 🙄

      @modifidious7171 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm pretty sure he's saying he gets better and more ass than any other guys do. Pretty sure chicken was black slang for white women lol. Similar to Snow Bunny 🤣

      @@kikivon3501 There's also the question of what sort of "chicken" Willie Dixon was referring to 😉

    "Back Door Man" isn't about doing it in the butt, but is old blues slang for a woman's side guy, the man who comes in the back door. In "Since I've Been Loving You" by Led Zeppelin, there's a reference to Robert Plant being jilted in this manner - "I open up my front door, hear my back door slam, I tell you I must have one of them newfangled back doors, man!"

      I always wondered what the second part of that line in Since I've Been Loving You was. It's so hard to catch exactly what he's saying, but now I won't ever unhear it. Cheers.

    My parents took me to a Doors concert when I was about four years old. I don’t remember much except being somewhat terrified. Later on in college, I started getting into the Doors and many songs were mysteriously familiar to me, complete with subconscious images of Jim Morrison’s manic stage presence. 🖖🏼

    A Backdoor man...is a guy that comes over to have sex with the wife of a guy that is out of town. He's called a "Backdoor man" because if the Husband came home unexpectedly, he would leave out the Backdoor. The term has been used for over a Hundred years, in Blues songs going back to the 1920s, and the original Black Blues legends of the past.

  • @kikivon3501
    @kikivon3501 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    This was written by Willie Dixon and recorded by Howlin’ Wolf. It’s been covered by hundreds of bands. I think it’s a double entendre about someone’s side action coming in the back door and the other “ back door” 😳😉 Blues uses a lot of metaphors for sex.

    You guys are hilarious! In the Old Blues days Back Door Man was a sort of substitute situation. The man works maybe 16 hours a day eg. Mining when he comes home he has very little sex drive and wants to eat then sleep. The wife becomes frustrated which leads to a substitute lover who visits and yes sometimes has to escape out of the Backdoor when hubby comes in through the front door. Simple as that really!
