I was confused of the order episode of John diggle. Now I figured it Batwomen, Superman & Lois, The flash and then Supergirl. His episode are not in chronological order.
@@Zevave How do you know that in chronological order Batwoman was first? There was originally going to be a Supergirl/ Superman and Lois Crossover Special that was planned for this season but it was cancelled due to Covid 19 Restrictions. Hopefully as Superman and Lois has been picked up for a second season Kara and Alex can make a cameo or an appearance next season. Especially because Alex and Kara can add insight and a dynamic to the Jonathan Jordan relationship. Like Jonathan and Jordan, Alex and Kara are siblings where one is super powered and the other isn't. That is a dynamic that Lois, Clark, General Lane do not understand. Sure Lois is used to being a wife and mother to super powered husband and son and Clark knows what is is like to be a husband and father to a non super powered wife and son, but neither now the struggles one has being a sibling. Alex would understand fully what Jonathan is doing through, she'd be able to pick up on any doubts, insecurities or jealously and could share her experiences. Likewise Kara would be able to share insight and guidance to Jordan in relation to his brother. She'd be able to share her doubts, insecurities and jealously she had with Alex and can share how just because Jordan is super powered and his brother is not it is ok and understandable that he too could be jealous of his brother. Again bringing Alex and Kara could help. As I would love to see Aunt Alex teach or train Jonathan and Aunt Kara could show Jordan a trick or two
I would be very surprised if kara shows up in s2. coz the actress wants to move away from arrowverse. She lives in different place, she is now a mother. so it will not be easy to convince her to do just a cameo.

Same here. Yesterday I watched Loki first got disappointed and then got action and heart from Superman and Lois. Yep definitely Superman and Lois is a better show.
It makes sense that this was supposed to be the first appearance of Diggle. The Supergirl break wasn't supposed to happen, so when they drew this up the plan was for this episode to happen a lot earlier.
I was hoping that Superman wouldn't be evil for too long. I want him to fight Edge instead of with him, although I thought it would be at least 2 episodes of evil Superman. Great episode as always.
I'm kinda over that trope anyway so I'm glad it's one and done. Unless, it's kinda like the Arkham Knight where Batsy has Joker inside him (insert lenny face) Zod would torture Superman on the inside. Which could be very interesting.
Good episode imo. I’m surprised (but pleasantly so) that “Evil Superman” only lasted an episode though honestly , it wasn’t even really 5 minutes…I have had my fill of that archetype as of late. It was cool that his consciousness was being taken over by Zod’s…since Clark overcame it, I’m assuming Zod is gone for good which I have mixed feelings on. I like him as a character and could have been cool to see this show’s take on him but not using him in the future allows them to also use new villains aswell…plus , we already have Evil Kryptonians trying to turn Earth into their new home which tends to usually be his M.O. Anyway , I liked the conflict between Lois and John Henry this episode…both sides made sense and while it was predictable that the latter would try to reach out to Clark rather then kill him at the end..I still thought it was well done. Also , nice to see the Cushing family stronger then ever considering how broken they were at the beginning as the town tries to scapegoat Kyle and Lana for Edge’s actions.

It's odd that the Eradicator and Steel were introduced just before Superman was defeated and seemingly lost, loosely mirroring the comic events of the Death of Superman storyline, from which those two characters are very prominent. It is also odd that the scientist Dabney Donovan was shown in one of the previous episodes. Dabney Donovan in the DC Universe was a geneticist that either worked for/ help founded the genetic research corporation CADMUS Labs, which was the people responsible for the creation of Kon-El/Connor Kent AKA Superboy, another prominant character from the Death of Superman storyline. The last of the Supermen is of course Hank Henshaw AKA Cyborg Superman, who we know from the Supergirl show. Put them all together and you get the Reign of the Supermen, which was the storyline set after of Death of Superman.

I don't think Dark Superman from John Henry's world was Zod. Zod is always a major egomaniac. If it was him, he would have worn his own symbol and made his name known so that everyone would "Kneel Before Zod". John Henry only knows him as Kal-El
@@galonski64 Crisis would be the answer... Except they've shown the old fortress again in Supergirl after Crisis. So it's either two different fortresses or different parts of the same one. I really liked this episode but the ending felt super rushed. From Superman breaking free to them taking out Morgan Edge it all just felt like it wrapped up so quickly
Diggle didn't have to show up for people to know that this show is in the Arrowverse. I mean it's the same Superman and Lois Lane that were in Supergirl, and the Crossovers with all the other shows. To me, it's kinda stupid and knuckleheaded, to think that this show isn't connected to the arrowverse.
Yeah but at the same time due to Covid most of the first season was written as a standalone 1st season. So this cameo was done deliberately by Berlanti & Helbing to establish that yes this takes place within the Arrowverse.
While I enjoy having Diggle on screen, his appearances are basically what happened repeatedly during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover : fan-service, the useless and pointless kind. And I really would have loved if Superman & Lois was COMPLETELY 100% separate from all the Arrow-verse. But alas, it's not because... reasons ??? In this episode, Diggle could have been replaced with another character (famous or not) and we wouldn't even have noticed any difference.
This Diggle appearance confused me. I love that he's doing the rounds on the arrowverse shows and popping up everywhere, but I thought there was like a 16 year time jump between normal arrowverse and this? Hence the teenage sons?
Nope. Clark had a son by 2019 in the original multiverse. After Crisis, that whole history was rewritten, so he married Lois and had his children way earlier.
Personally I think they could have put the entire Cushing drama with the formerly converted townspeople in a later episode and dedicated that time to a more prolonged battle, both the internal battle Superman had with Zod and the later "battle" with Edge. I thought those two confrontations were just over too quickly. On another note...I wanted to thank both of you...I just completed your entire playlist of "Marvel: Agents of Shield" reactions. Really excellent insights, opinions, predictions and discussion there. Thank you for doing such a great job to all involved. I thoroughly enjoyed that. And by the way, congrats to Eric and Aaron on becoming Agents yourselves. Those videos before the series finale were great!
tbh I prefer if this series is more standalone and did not have any appearances from the Arrowverse. Not that it would remedy the inherent problem of "why are they not contacting all the other heroes every time there is a serious crisis ie every season finale", but you're more able to take the show completely on its own and not think about any discrepancies (blue vs red eye laser etc). With this appearance from Diggle, it feels like a floodgate has been opened, and now the show would come under heavier scrutiny with the contrivances and discrepancies as its apparently confirmed that it is in the Arrowverse and the other heroes were all present. Diggle's appearance didn't seem to have any significant relevance to the plot, which leads me to think it was an add on to the script that was not relevant to the plot. He had great scene paying homage to the other shows, but I'm not sure if it's worth opening that floodgate.
Originally, there was supposed to be a crossover between this show and Batwoman, but they had to cancel it because of the pandemic. Diggle didn't open a floodgate, he is the only thing they could do. So yes, expect more bigger crossovers in the future.
@@ras_alhim I heard it was with Supergirl? Anyway, probably for the better that 'that' crossover was cancelled. My point stands. As the show now confirms it's setting as the arrowverse with the presence of all the other heroes, it lost some of its stakes knowing that there are other heroes running around and the characters are just being stupid for not contacting them like with Superman's ELT's (or in fact, the other characters not using an ELT's).
@@eirei0789 Why is everybody only complaining about this in S&L? Why is Barry only calling Flash characters to help with Godspeed? Why didn't the Legends call for more help to find Sara? Or Batwoman when Gotham was purged? It's just comic book/show/movie logic. Even the Avengers don't call their teammates all the time, there wouldn't be solo adventures anymore.
@@ras_alhim Did I specifically say in my post that I did not have the same criticism with those instances? I thought my original post implied that I did. I just personally cared more about S&L to bother with posting my thoughts on it. Also. I don't care if all the other shows do it and "get away with it". It's still a problem to the narrative and the stakes.
i dont understand , are flash, batwoman and superman is in the same time or different time? Since Jonathan and yordan has already maybe 14 or 15 years old.
Due to COVID the current Arrowverse timeline is VERY messy, but S&L, Arrow, The Flash, Constantine, Supergirl, Legends, Black Lightning, and BatWoman all take/took place on Earth-Prime now, due to Crisis Lois and Clark married and had Jonathan (Also instead of having one son they have two, Jordan) a little over a decade earlier. S&L is still on Earth-Prime taking place (at least the Pilot) in Fall 2020.
This ep was the weakest for me. Why go after when there's a more powerful krytonian than Superman ? Why not lure superman somewhere else and deal with morgan edge first with that uber anti kryptonian tech of Irons'. The constant "we have to kill him" vs "no we can't" discussion wore me down.
I think this show is so ridiculously superior to all other Arrowverse shows in all aspects, it truly feels like it belongs in a different universe. I don't want the connection to bring it down. Also, I convinced other people who deeply dislike the Arrowverse to give this one a chance, and they all responded positively. I hope they don't think I tricked them or anything. I was (still am) really hoping that any crossovers would be minimum.
I am really disappointed how they have handled this Diggle arc. I really hope that is what will be the focus of the 5 episode crossover for next season of the flash
ALTHOUGH if Dig shows up for his Supergirl appearance early when it returns in August, it would make more sense considering she's only just escaped the phantom zone
Best Arrowverse show. Best written and acted. And it doesn't have the ridiculous silliness the others have. This one is believable. The family is believable. Compared to Barry and Iris. Iris constant whispering of lines when talking to Barry is annoying. Barry’s constant whining about Iris. Clark and Lois have chemistry. The entire family has chemistry. Even Lana’s family has great chemistry. I’m glad this show doesn’t have a Chester/Cisco or Brainy for comic relief. This show has some good funny parts but not over done.
Pacing in this show is wacky. This arc has been going on for 12 episodes yet at the same time every new thing introduced is resolved in two. Superman turning back before actually doing anything 'bad' while fighting brainwashing is both nice (how could the world trust him again if he burned down a city, even while mind controlled, for example) and sort of... anti-climatic. I guess I'm programmed to expect the cliche 'fighting the military, blowing things up without somehow killing lots of people, Lois or one of his kids steps in the way and say a few words and then he fights it off' thing

I wanna know how cw made a show so God damn good. This is one of the best shows of this year. The writing, the music, the cinematography, the acting, the story. Everything is so good.
Damn. No, "Kneel before Zod"
So is Morgan Edge now the Eradicator like in the comics?
There's only one eradicator boys it's the same one that Clark had when he fell at the door of the fortress after his flare edge got it from him while he was knocked out and using that device to see into his memories it's the same eradicator there's no good one or bad one it's only one
The other world Clark got cheated on by Lana, so was pissed
What if the evil superman comes to this earth and they have to fight him next season
All those Kryptonian criminals are now all inside Morgan Edge.. He is now Zod.
he's not especially based on the previews
On another note, what happened to the Rick and morty episode? It was removed and hasn't returned
How do you guys watch the episode without any ad breaks ?
I don't think Dark Superman from John Henry's world was Zod. Zod is always a major egomaniac. If it was him, he would have worn his own symbol and made his name known so that everyone would "Kneel Before Zod". John Henry only knows him as Kal-El
Are there now two Fortresses of Solitude, Kara's and Clark's?
Think we just see different parts of Clark's in both shows. But yeah the difference between the two shows fortresses always irked me a little.
I headcanon that Kara's is in the Arctic, and Clark's is in the Antarctic, or vice versa
Crisis is your answer
@@galonski64 Crisis would be the answer... Except they've shown the old fortress again in Supergirl after Crisis.
So it's either two different fortresses or different parts of the same one. Kara has always called it THE Fortress of Solitude so logically it has to be the same one, it's just so visually different it's hard to believe.
It's two different art directors' interpretations of the same thing. It's really no different than two comic book artists drawing the same thing and having wildly different takes.

Make Wonder Woman Fighting /Fairy and Aquaman Water/Psychic
@@aidenray6214 I cannot think of a move that would make Aquaman a Psychic Type but I'll make Wonder Woman a Fairy Type with the Fairy Moves Play Rough and Craft Shield.

@@aidenray6214 that's a psychic move?
@@theawesomeman9821 pertains to the psyche does it not? That is what it used to be pre-crisis atleast. There was one issue post Flashpoint which said that he encodes the water apparently with his mind and the water itself carries it to the sea creatures. That is a little psychic. Also, this was just a suggestion, feel free to NOT include it if u want.
Superman had Harry and Voldemort thing.
So Diggle is just a courier here?😅
While I enjoy having Diggle on screen, his appearances are basically what happened repeatedly during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover : fan-service, the useless and pointless kind.
And I really would have loved if Superman & Lois was COMPLETELY 100% separate from all the Arrow-verse. But alas, it's not because... reasons ??? In this episode, Diggle could have been replaced with another character (famous or not) and we wouldn't even have noticed any difference.
Brasileiros no Blind Wave além de mim??

Disappointed af that Diggle didn't became Green Lantern.
i miss arrow 😔
wow
This Diggle appearance confused me. I love that he's doing the rounds on the arrowverse shows and popping up everywhere, but I thought there was like a 16 year time jump between normal arrowverse and this? Hence the teenage sons?
Nope. Clark had a son by 2019 in the original multiverse. After Crisis, that whole history was rewritten, so he married Lois and had his children way earlier.
that "family fun" scene felt so out of place in this episode. I agree it was mis-placed and should have happened at the end of the episode maybe?
My thoughts exactly 🤔 It even could have not existed at all, the message and intention would have been the same, thanks to the breakfast scene.
They would be tortured by Smallville people for another episode and then maybe we could accept that family fun scene
Man I WISH I could find my old comment because I completely called the details of John's face turn.
They almost had 2 rename the show…zod & Lois lol
zod never got to say the line pf kneel before zod i was waiting the entire episode for it
I really wanted to see supergirl
There are too many Johns in the DC Universe
Every Nora in existence: Am I a joke to you?

👍👍👍
I get it for the sake of the drama they had to give the one twin powers.. but man i wish the other one had them.. 🤦🏾♀️🤧 he is more mature
I just feel every time there’s a Cushing family segment that it’s keeping me from watching the Kent’s who I’m here to see.
tbh I prefer if this series is more standalone and did not have any appearances from the Arrowverse.
@@eirei0789 it is not a problem when it is a comic book story, they did all the time in DC and MARVEL
i dont understand , are flash, batwoman and superman is in the same time or different time? Since Jonathan and yordan has already maybe 14 or 15 years old.
Due to COVID the current Arrowverse timeline is VERY messy, but S&L, Arrow, The Flash, Constantine, Supergirl, Legends, Black Lightning, and BatWoman all take/took place on Earth-Prime now, due to Crisis Lois and Clark married and had Jonathan (Also instead of having one son they have two, Jordan) a little over a decade earlier. S&L is still on Earth-Prime taking place (at least the Pilot) in Fall 2020.
Hopefully there will be no crossover with supersjw.
There would be sooner or later, they need Lex Luthor and Supergirl is a big part of the lore especially if they gonna make a Brainiac Arc.
The episodes were out of order in supergirl he should possibly get more with the ring
The exclusion of Kara is getting stranger and conspicuous. Why not scream for Kara rather than Jordan?
It’s just good plot wise. Also this is a Superman show that primarily focuses on Superman and the people in his life.
This apparently is all taking place while Kara is stuck in the phantom zone, but that gets harder and harder to believe xD
Why would he yell for Kara ? Wouldn’t she be like the last thing on his mind ?😭
@@sapphiredragon8149 Wouldn't his cousin who he did a lot for when she landed on Earth be someone in his life?
First .
This show shows the cw that you don't need to spend 30 minutes, full of filler, and shitty visuals, to make a fight interesting.
Worst episode yet for me, sfx looked off (especially the flying scenes) and it was a bit too easy
