Thanks so much for this. I've had these in my drawer for 2 years but couldn't work out how to use them. I've watched a few of your videos since watching this & wish I'd come across them sooner. You're a really good teacher & make things so easy to understand. Looking forward to watching more 😊
I appreciate your videos and love your commentary on this product. I recently purchased an off brand snap kit but will return and purchase these ones. 🙏
Jan, your tutorials are the best. You are so talented and thank you for sharing your knowledge! My question in can KAM snaps be used on denim and or purse making vinyls. Thank you so very much!
I've never used kam snaps on either vinyl or denim. I'll have to get out a piece of denim and give it a whirl. I think it would work fine, as I have stuck the awl through several layers of fabric.
I bought some plastic snaps, but they were not from KAM, whenever I place them and pushed them together, the inside would bend and I could not use them. I bought KAM snaps yesterday and I hope that I have more luck :)
I appreciate this video. I purchased a box of plastic snaps off Amazon. I am not satisfied with the way they perform. They seem to snap at first but after a few uses they stop catching securely. Are the snaps a brand called Kam, aside from a named one like Dritz? I want to throw all the snaps I have away and start over.
Thanks Jan, your tutorials are always so straightforward and simple. I appreciate that. I have a kit but I've never used it. I recently made a tote bag and think I'll go and put a snap on it so it's not just flopping open!
Hi Jan. Just found you. When I use my snapper I find sometimes when I press it using the tool it doesn't squish down enough so I don't get the click. Any ideas? Should I cut the spike down a bit?
Help😊I've thrown so many away. The piece that you push through the fabric doesn't bend properly. So the female piece always comes off. What am I doing wrong?
Sounds like the two pieces are not lining up correctly. Make sure they are placed in the pliers correctly and don't move when applying to the fabric. It can be a little tricky sometimes. You'll feel the snap click into place when you are putting the snap pieces in.
Wait ........ I did it! And no damage to my item! FYI to others, I used a small screwdriver and needle-nose pliers and just worked at prying and pulling off the male end! Phew! 😤

I bought this, its so neat. My question is, is there anyway to remove them
I haven’t ever tried. But I’m thinking maybe a flathead screwdriver.

I hope you do too!
@@JanHowell The KAM snaps work like a charm :)

I am making reversible suck pads. Are there any plastic snaps the would work for that?
I am not sure what "suck pads"are

Are you using plastic kam snaps or metal snaps. You just have to make sure the spikes are following the grooves in the other piece.
@@JanHowell I use the plastic snaps. But I'll definitely check the positioning. Thanks for your help.
Gostei muito..

Hi Jan. Can these come off easily for my grands to put in their mouths?
I don't think so, but something you could contact the company about. I know lots of people use these for baby clothing, and are recommended for.
HELP! I put a male end on crooked ..... can I take it off without damaging my item? If so, how?
Wait ........ I did it! And no damage to my item! FYI to others, I used a small screwdriver and needle-nose pliers and just worked at prying and pulling off the male end! Phew! 😤
And the good news is that the snaps DON'T come off easily! 😊
Oh. Good. Thanks for sharing
Where do I get one
The link is in the description below.

Man
Theres a learning curvd to this. I found it difficult to get the whole thing centered in the black part😮
Takes a little practice
Do these snaps come bigger than the T5?
