I thought it was a cool weapon until I noticed that it was designed very poorly like, why does it have such a noticeable taper and it doesn't even resemble an actual lightsaber... If there was a way to mod in a real lightsaber that would be nice, plus also make it a one-hit kill weapon.

That is true! In fact, some speedrunners plug a Konami blaster into the console for faster menuing since the Hyper Blaster pushes the reticle closer to some key items (saves less than a fraction of a second lol).
Thats what got me I was seeing that you had two get all 4 endings good good+ bad and bad+ for the katana this makes it much more easy nowing I just have two do 2 of each ending

I'm playing on Beetle HW via Retroarch. Simply Austin's "Playstation 1 Ultimate Emulator Guide - MAX SETTINGS!" video is a great tutorial for it, and it's the video I used. Keep in mind the game is unfinishable like this, I'm only using settings that look like this so the quality of the video is as good as possible.

If you want you can check out my 10 star tips and tricks video, which is linked at the very bottom of the description (I would link it here but sometimes posting links in comments makes the comment hidden by youtube). Basically as long as you meet the requirements for a 10 star rank then save your ranking, you'll get the green hyper blaster. It'll even be displayed on the save what color Blaster you have (red, yellow, or green). Make sure you don't save over the 10 star rank once you get it though, it'll overwrite the green hyper blaster. There are quite a few 10 star playthroughs on youtube as well, so it may be a good idea to give a few of those a watch to learn some strats.

Question on the Katana. I notice you say how you must unlock at least one good and bad ending on the same file. I only have two save files, one in child's room right before boss fight and Next Fear. I would imagine at this point I'd probably have to start from scratch again with the mindset of using more save files. But even then, how would the game recognize that I got one ending and then did another one on the same file. I really want to understand how this works!
A lot of people seem confused by this, so I put something at the top of the description that I hope helps. You don't need to start from scratch, you just need to get a good or bad ending (the opposite of whatever you got last time) and you'll get the Katana. Unless I misinterpreted your comment lol.

If I read everything correctly, here's what I'll do to properly get the following weapons based on the path I chose. First Game (Fresh) : Good + (I already did this one already) + First Next Fear : UFO Ending (Since I already beat the game on Good +, I now have channeling stone so this path makes most sense to me) + Second Next Fear (Good -) + Third Next Fear (Bad +) = UFO Gun and Katana :D

After beating it I was given a save slot with Next Fear labeled to it so I put it to the same one I received the channeling stone on and I didn't receive it, neither the chainsaw D: Is this normal to no longer have automatic access to the channeling stone or chainsaw even after putting the new fear mode onto the previous one I had because I thought it would stack on each other as previously mentioned, just wanting to make sure.
Did you find the items in game? They don't appear when you first start the game, only the hyper blaster appears when you first start. On every playthrough you'll still need to find the channeling stone, Katana, chainsaw, gas tank, and rock drill in their usual spots.

Yes. So if you got a good ending, then on your Next Fear game you need to get a bad ending. They also don't need to be back to back. So if your first three playthroughs consist of two good endings and the ufo ending, you can still get the Katana by getting one of the bad endings on the next (in this case, the fourth) playthrough.

0:39 Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4 now have a modern camera mod on PC.
Just finished 3 with the mod, and it was a way better experience than the base game.

Not a mod, you can just do that on emulators now. It's an option in duckstation.
