There are a lot of players like ShowMaker who have impeccable mechanics. The most important factor at the highest level--once you have top tier mechanics and game knowledge--is decision-making. This is what puts players like Faker, ShowMaker, and Canyon in contention for the title of best player. Knowing what plays are possible, having the split-second decision-making to pull the trigger, and being able to execute. For me, Canyon still gets my vote, but the current situation doesn't really matter. Summer split LCK and Worlds will reveal things. But for now... watch VODs from his POV. His mechanics are great, like any top player, but his game knowledge and decision-making are really insane. He knows almost every champion and role very well and makes or follows plays perfectly almost every single time. Nearly perfect positioning in every situation. Plays every type of champion (14 in summer split, highest of any player). He can play engage tanks, peel, ranged or melee AD or AP carry...
And yet T1's fans are delusional enough to state that Oner is by far the best jungler in the world. The guy is good but doesn't even hold a candle for Canyon.

Easy to look good when your team generally just wins across the board. Canyon had the most POG (MVP) awards EVER in a split where his team finished 3rd due to weak top laners and inconsistent bot lane. 16 MVP games on the 3rd place team vs 6 games for Oner on the undefeated team. Oner is good and played well, but clearly his team's performance is making him look better, not the other way around.

But you logic lacks, if you have an inconsistent toplane and botlane that puts probably 3 players out of contention for MVP in most games (so you are essentially only deciding between two players) while in a strong team you'd expect all 5 players to share the mvp's more. Is it harder to win in a team with weak lanes? sure. Is it harder to get the MVP? probably quite the contrary, as you tend to look better relatively to your teammates if they don't play as good (but also don't int so you can't play the game)

Big disclaimer: this playstyle suit best for aggressive players who want a very interactive laning phase and has a decent/godly mechanics (micro) to snowball the game. Downside is this playstyle demand a vast knowledge of matchups and although you look at him playing this agreesive, he's simultaneously keep track on time and wards to predict where the jungler would be, before the enemy jungler start to gank. He took early fight, draining down enemy midlaner then start contesting crabs with his jungler if both mid go even, counters is the keyword here. From then on out it's all on him, every cs count, every decisions making could potentially acceleratate the game, uncontrollable for both your team and theirs. A small advantage is still an advantage, he will keep it until they force him to let it go, by mistakes or misplays. - some random thoughts -
I don't hate him but I kinda get why some people would. In some interview post-worlds he confessed that he doesn't have much motivation to tryhard pro-play since he already won worlds, so he has 20% "for fun" mindset during some pro-play games. Not really a reason to hate, more a reason to dislike, but the fans always exaggerate their feelings 10x times, so not suprised that some hate him. But I still agree that the dude has a very likeable personality.

he came to EUW once, and i had the chance to play against him, i picked qiyana and him goes wukong at that time Well, He solo-handly destroyed me, and the whole game. His gameplay is just flawless, absolutly no error, Perfect gaming. I dont remember well but i think he ended the game with a score like 25-3 or something close to it, with wukong mid.

He nearly gets to 4k health 20 minutes with 300 ap dealing same damage as other carry supports and deal the most damage in the Game with most damage taken and most heal done. He abuses his r to dive by himself on weak enemies and such Usually using q first to slow with rylai then e the slowed enemy , and doesnt use w to get more stack for more health , using it for path closing so other teammembers can gap close . Usually fulling q to deal damage in r and full w second for some reason i dont know i think he mentioned cuz of the vision time increasing by 1 second each level . He plays like a tank but as a bruiser while being mage ? The weirdest meta i ever i think. He stomps his lane as support and even do well with bad comps such as twitch swain
What do you think about the recent events related to the MSI competition? As a fan of LPL, I don't think the organizers of MSI did a very good job of planning the event. For example： 35ping=22ping; cut out the cheering for RNG from the match scene, etc.
0 cooldowns vs all cooldowns. Blade did as much as he could (and almost killed him), but this is a good example of Blade's #1 weakness: trying too hard to carry. But you can't really blame him for risky plays when his entire team is losing. Better than just waiting to lose/ff.
