I’m usually very careful about spending too much money on LEGOs… but I can’t resist something like this!

This is everything I was hoping the Rivendell set would be. The whole build looks so fun! Well, except for the roof tiles...

The balcony where Gandalf and Elrond discuss Sauron "there is no strength left in men... the blood of numenor is all but spent ... HIS EYE is fixed on Rivendell"
The bridge where Arwen gives Aragorn the necklace
The room where Frodo wakes up after being stabbed, and after being carried back from Mt Doom
Bilbo's room where he writes his book.
The hall where the shards of the sword are kept and Boromir/Aragorn have a conversation
An armoury
A forge
And of course the Council of Eldrond!
Beyond impressed. One of the best looking set pieces I’ve seen
this is absolutely gorgeous, a masterpiece

This set is amazing, I saw it lots of times, but still I am looking as if it is the first time I saw it

i dont even like lord of the rings but i love this set so much, the odd techniques and the massive size just pull me in

Out of curiosity, how long do you usually keep big sets like these built, I imagine they’re often taken apart and used in Moc’s.

The LOTR theme reboot has lots of potential and has chosen a really great place to make a set. They also made it at a decent price. I wish Star Wars had good set selection, but we’re getting mechs instead of accessory packs and Yavin 4 this year instead of a Republic Gunship.

Ngl I would of preferred a lego lotr barad dur (eye of sauron) instead of rivendell because I would say that it's more popular and famous then rivendell, and if we got this set instead it could of came with a sauron and witch king minifigures and some orcs and maybe even a troll or something like that.

This is a very nice set. Isn't there suppose to be more people setting in the circle of chairs. I don't see the other 3 blonde elves, 7 humans or 3 other dwarfs that should be sitting there. There are no brown haired elves or white haired dwarves at the council of Elrond.
of course, that likely took about (maybe) five hours or so (I am honestly not sure of your building speed when it comes to big sets like that)

Imagine not even getting printed pieces on a set this price.
There are plenty of printed pieces in this set. Obviously you don't own to much lego the Death Star, Millenium Falcon, have stickers and they are more expensive than this.
