Just found this video. Great vid on improving technique. I’m beginning oboe as a freshman and I’m having a lot of pitch issues. I think I’m pinching but that’s not completely it. Gonna try working on technique with scales and everything. Need to sound good for my spring concert solo. If you have any advice for beginners I would love to know what u have to say.
Thanks for watching! Have you found an oboe teacher yet? Pitch is a lifelong challenge and there are so many ways to help with it. I’d be interested in hearing you play and hearing you go through some of the objective reed function tests that I demo in some of my other videos.
