Nairobi Bus park terminus which is currently is in disuse is perfect for an electric car, bus, motor bike charging station. The place is perfect to be converted into an electric car and bus charging station. One of the major issues of electric cars and buses is luck of charging stations. This place would be ideal for that. Its located central in the middle of Nairobi and thus can be reached easily from all locations.Electric motor bikes , cars and buses would utilize this as their charging station this would encourage more people to start using electric cars for cleaner air in nairobi. the place would be open 24 hrs.

Once again, a good idea ruined by choosing local body fabricators who can never attain the needed standards in terms of safety, comfort, durability, and value for money. The first versions of the electric bus were popular more for their comfort than anything else. A majority of Kenyans use buses as their main mode of vehicular transport. It is a high time they enjoy the same quality travel private car owners enjoy. There is no logic in slapping a shoddily built body on a brand new chassis, except maybe to benefit coach-builders who have no reason to evolve.

Toyota was right all along by saying that hybrids are the future and not pure electric cars! Just look at how the sale of EVs has plummeted and people are instead opting for hybrid vehicles!
For EVs to see mass adoption, the technology needs to advance to the point where one can recharge the battery to 100% in less than 10 minutes and be able to get a range of at least 1000 miles on a single charge! Then the issue of battery fires also needs to be fixed permanently! Otherwise, hybrid cars are the best for now and in the foreseeable future! 😏

In china evs are leading sales , the only reason why evs are plummeting in the western world is because those economies have every reason to maintain the status quo, Germany depends alot on motor vehicle sales and their evs cant compete, go to japan their economy heavily depends on vehicle exports their evs cant compete so they've decided to maintain ices in the us ford ,chevy , Chrysler etc are major employers but their evs cant compete so they are maintaining their ices. If the tarrifs were to be dropped by all the western world the uptake of evs would be immense.

Yeah you have a valid point but I'll tell you one thing, it depends on the market. Take a look at Norway EVs business, or take a look at Kenya's energy production it's hugely renewable. I am a believer in hybrids but for Kenya, EVs can win very ruthlessly. And the perks that come with this are awesome. From the semiconductor industry to materials sciences research, I believe with the right policies this Ev industry will have a ripple effect in Kenya. So there is a huge potential for Kenya.

Sales of EVs haven't plummeted. It's the US and EU markets that are blocking their people from getting cheaper EVs from China, more like what they did to Huawei to protect Apple. So, people are choosing not to buy. But other countries outside the US, EU, and Australia, EVs are booming. You just heard that BasiGO will only manage 10% of the orders. That speaks volume.
