Hi Problem with this machine is clearance from bigger plants, tractor and cultivator must go over plants. You can use it only when plants is young but this is wrong. Buyer wont change tools every year. You need to make it in way that tractor can pull it beside. Tractor go besides row, not above row. Cultivator must have much larger adjustable clearance and rotating part must be in soil level so can go bellow lowest branches. Largest problem is need two man. If this can be self propelled, one man operation and for bigger plants you have winner!!!
I disagree with your statement on thinning. It is much easier to transplant in at the correct spacing than it is to thin. Plus you get a guaranteed fully planted row with transplants from a tray, seeding always produces empty spaces where germination was poor.
Hi Suzy and Rob, Can you tell me what is the fastest tractor speed forward you find you can go with it and doing the job right? and what speed forward would you say is the best? thanks!
We talked to Suzy and Robelee and this is what they said: "The answer is more complicated than just an exact mph...how thick and tall are the weeds? how cautiously must you proceed due to crop spacing? What is the soil moisture, tilth and texture? We did try it on a pepper crop (spaced 14" apart) and although it worked it wasn't really thorough enough due to the plant closeness...Unfortunately another section of the video was edited out which was more exemplary." (The Reigi Weeder is manufactured by Univerco and is now called the Eco weeder)
Dude's your a day late and dollar short. Was at the World Ag Expo 2016 theres a weeder does exactly the same thing with small one sided sweeps. LED lights the plant and computer controls the in and out of the sweeps. 20 foot row widths. eliminates the need for the wife to do the work in the back. Only tractor operator needed. Eliminates illegal labor also. Hello, Hello, Mcfly...

MIS RESPETOS A SU HERRAMIENTA DE DESHIERVE MECANIZADO
ES MUY PRACTICO....
SALUDOS DESDE MEXICO
glad you found it useful!
Can these machines be purchased in the UK? I would like to see one working too if anyone has one here in the UK!
nice . how I can get it
Só faltou uma proteção pra quem está no cultivador, um tipo de capota para proteger do sol. Ótimo vídeo.
Using pto have effect in much larger fuel and parts consumption. Hydro motors is much better for this.
That is an amazing machine

Probably double the input cost too.
