I have been trying to get this type of information for some time.Thank you Julie for showing me that what I was trying it do was right. Now all I need is to sort out the right design to go onto my Flower Fairies quilt for my granddaughter. Ire as an excellent video to help me learn to machine quilt by embroidery machine.
Thanks for the video !! I've always wondered how to do this on my embroidery machine. I think you did a decent job filming with one hand, But agree maybe a tripod would help if you are going to do any more filming. You can just start and stop the camera when having to reposition the machine. Thanks again for the video, it's really helped me a lot ....
This was a great tutorial on quilting in the hoop without stabilizer or WSS! Learned something new but it would have been helpful if she also showed how she picked the design, etc...
Hi I was going to buy a brother V3 embroidery machine but I was told I could not straight stitch or quilt in that machine as it was only for embroidery please help!!
Hi, where did you get the design you are using and what did your set the tension too? I have the Innovis V7 and have no clue how to use it. Thank you for this video!
Very nice tutorial. I have done a quilt this way, but the designs do not come together, the back was a solid color, and I don't like the space between each square design, as well as all the knots. Since I have a 12 needle machine, I cannot bring up the bobbin thread and tie it off and hide the knot. I have called tech support and they were not able to help me this with, because the machine is really not made for quilting, tho they did give me some ideas to try. Do you find that all the knots bother you? I think using a very busy fabric on the back would help to hide them. I am on the fence with this technique. I am considering embroidering on the top and batting only, and then just doing a stitch in the ditch after I put the back on. This just seems like double work. Any ideas? Thanks.
This tutorial was not very good for beginners. Where did you get the design? What do you set your tension to? How do you know for sure the design will start right where you left off? Need detailed step by step instructions from very beginning to very end.
You should maybe invest in a tripid or something instead of trying to do this single handed. Maybe get a friend to fo the video so you can concentrate on what you're doing. Video is very shaky. When you speak while the michine is running its almost impossible to heat you.
Thank you Julie. You make it simple for us. Loes Bridg
