    I really liked this video. I happened on this by chance and I’m glad I did. Perfect explanation, easy to follow and I really liked the go pro view.

    Love the way you explain everything so slowly and clearly. It’s like having a private person beside you and teaching you by holding your hand. Great video.👍

    Thank you once again, as you know I am working on the same quilt pattern. It is turning out so nice so far, I have only done some embroidery on the top piece, can't wait to sandwich it up to do the blocks . See you next week, love these videos !!!

    I am going to have to try this. Just to be clear, you have hooped the top patterned layer, the batting and the backing. Do you have any stabilizer or just the quilt in the hoop? Is this a lot of fabric for the hoop? I have a Flourish 2.

    • @HayesSewingMachineCo
      @HayesSewingMachineCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, we have the quilt top, the batting, and the backing all in the hoop with NO stabilizer. No, not too much fabric, you can do this in the Flourish 2, you'll just have to loosen up your screw a lot more than you're used to.

    Great job, Pam! And thank you for all the information you shared. Can you tell me what needle you used? Also, does having the same thread in the bobbin help it to stitch out better?

    • @HayesSewingMachineCo
      @HayesSewingMachineCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're welcome, Ginny! 75/11 Embroidery Needle. And yes, the same thread top and bobbin.

      @@HayesSewingMachineCo I'm new. hi. just got an eversewn x2. if we use same thread in top and bottom, why did I just buy a large cone of bobbin embroidery thread ?

    • @HayesSewingMachineCo
      @HayesSewingMachineCo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@grandmalovesmebest You need bobbin thread for traditional embroidery. This is a different technique where you will see the back of the project so you want matching thread.

    You are awesome. I just want to embroider my grandmothers name on a quilt she gabe to me before passing, but i would like to know if i need and type of stabilizers? Thank you!!

    • @HayesSewingMachineCo
      @HayesSewingMachineCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you always want to use a stabilizer when embroidering. I would recommend fabri-solvy since the quilt is already made. That way when you wash it, the stabilizer will disappear.

    The embroidery machine puts knots/tails on the back. If that gets cut, all the stitching comes unraveled. I cant give that to a customer or child. Please explain how to deal with this issue.

    • @HayesSewingMachineCo
      @HayesSewingMachineCo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I'm using a home embroidery machine, and you want the back to look neater, do not cut the bobbin thread short. Pull the bobbin thread up through your fabric to the top. Holding both threads, sew 3-4 stitches. Stop the machine. Cut the threads manually. Then resume stitching. If you want to really secure, leave the tails long and hand feed them in between the top and the bottom layer of your quilt. You can also try putting a few drops of fray check in that spot to secure the stitches (however this may show on your fabric).
