Big help! I have the RCP1 and wondered the difference between the 2 RCP settings in Ecamm. I think this issue may get more complex as Zoom is now integrated into ECamm and still using the RCP1? I would love t have another "how-to checklist" on all the AUDIO settings again with Zoom. (I had a situation where Guest was coming in on Zoom/EcCamm. I could hear her perfectly, and she could hear me, but the Zoom in the Audio Meter wasn't registering! So I didn't do the interveiw that way)
My interview mode on the clients end is out of synch. like there is a delay. on my end she has both audio and video synch. on recording its synched? any ideas on what I can tell her? she is on Mac. she always has this issue. WHen she looks at herself in split screen she gets a delay? any ideas? thanks
Sorry for the late reply! It sounds like your client might be experiencing latency issues on their Mac during split-screen mode. This could be related to network delays, her system's performance, or how the audio and video processing is handled by the software she's using. Here are a few things she could try: 1. Check Internet Connection: Ensure she has a stable and fast internet connection. Sometimes, using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi can help reduce latency. 2. Close Background Applications: Have her close any unnecessary applications that might be consuming system resources, which can affect performance. 3. Update Software: Make sure her software, including any drivers related to audio and video, are up to date. This includes the operating system and any specific applications used for the interview. 4. Buffer Settings: If the software allows, adjusting the buffer size settings might help. A lower buffer size can reduce latency but requires more processing power. 5. External Hardware Check: If she's using external hardware like a webcam or a microphone through an interface, ensure everything is connected properly and configured correctly within the software settings. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, she might want to contact the software support for more specific guidance based on the tools she’s using.
I have had this same issue but I don’t have a rodecaster pro and I sometimes have to use Loopback audio to connect the audio to zoom. Any idea how to address the interviewee echo? Thanks!
@@TheSneakerPrincipal I just have a Yeti Nano plugged in directly to my M1 Mac Mini and I use Loopback so that the interviewees cans hear questions from the Zoom meeting participants. I don’t use any other audio hardware or software in addition to ecamm and Loopback.
@@julie_EnRen Don't know if you 're using it with ecamm but ecamm doesn't need loopback software if you're using it. I had a weird echo in my stream last night and realized I was monitoring out back in to the rodecaster causing an echo. next time I'll turn off loopback and let ecamm run audio...I run a playstation in and use the rodecaster for my voice...I'll try switching to stereo and see what happens but also stop monitoring back into the rodecaster....
You're my hero! Have you figured out an issue where you play music, and the RC tries to balance you and the music? It sounds great in my headphones, but terrible when I watch the recording.
Oh wow! Thank you! It’s been hit and miss with the ducking feature keeping my mic input balanced with talking over music. I typically pre-set my levels as best a possible, as well as just manually controlling the levels. A lot to keep track of and think about.

I have double audio on Facebook live. Have you experience this?
My bad on the delayed response… try switching between regular stereo and multichannel

What is your hardware setup? What are you using as your audio interface?

Hey man, did you notice, that when you changed to stereo mode, the nice sounding effect on your voice was suddenly gone?
Yes I did
I used my elgato interface and still hear myself and have no idea how to fix it.
In conjunction with the Rodecaster Pro?
Without the roadcaster. But I’m realizing that it might just be an apple computer issue with ecamm.

I’m having the exact same problem. I’m going to try what you suggested. Thanks!
