1. Asta's SPEED buff is bad for Clara???
A. In scenarios where you're fighting 2 or less enemies, Clara having more speed can raise her energy requirement to keep up her Ult Taunt. But also in many situations where this isn't an issue,
SPEED doesnt hurt Clara at all. In any case, abuse the fact that you can "waste SPD buffs" by using Asta Ult right before Clara is about to take a turn to have the SPD buff last only 1 turns. In my testings, Clara works just fine with Asta. Planetary rendezvous is recommended over Dance Dance Dance if I may add.
2. An oversight on my part, Swordplay is theoretically the best non-signature LC, but it's complete RNG if you don't pull on weapon banners. Some people will end up with s5, s1 or none. S5 is much more consistent to obtain to S5 for a F2P or beginner.
3. Is Numby male or female?
A. good question.
4. Would you recommend pulling for her if you don’t have any follow up attacker? How would she fair alone?
A. She will do well alone in single target fights. but with the meta keep pushing AOE since all we been getting are destruction DPS's, I can't confidently say when Hunt/Single target will start to shine again.
Is swordplay count numby too? It description said only the wearer but topaz damage mostly come from numby follow up attack
LC is equiped on Topaz AND Numby, they are 1 character not 2.@@johnsteve39
my favorite thing about clara's ult is the impilcation that you don't even need to touch clara for svarog to counter, just launch an attack in her general direction and he will turn you into mist.

Side note: The next mc we will get is prob gonna be imaginary harmony. He will buff break in generell and do all lot of follow up attacks if the ally he blessed uses a skill or breaks the enemy. So regardless of you having follow up attack characters or not she is going to get really good in the future without you having to do anything. These information are only speculation but i think they are pretty likely to be true. In the future you could play Topaz with Jingliu and the new mc. Jingliu spams skills, mc does follow ups and then topaz does them as well. Because those are 3 different types you will break pretty consistent and often, wich would mean even more follow ups. If this happens then the game will be even more “my turn only” then it already is.

For relics though personally I have never farmed the fire set domain, it's so bad

While Topaz can do good single target dmg i wouldn't recommend pulling her if youre iffy IF you dont have or use follow up attackers. They buff one another which is super cool.
When you compare E1 vs LC do you count S5 swordplay in to that equation? Does she do more damage with/Does it make more sense to go for E0S1(signature) or E1S5(swordplay)?
I would still go for LC for the versatility.

That march, Clara, topaz + 1 comp is going to be busted for manual play. March's freeze is actually great as an emergency button when used tactically so as to not interrupt enemies attacks without reason.

I’ve been debating between Topaz and Seele. I have Dan Heng IL and was lucky and got his Light Cone too, so he’s busted and I don’t know if I need another hypercarry at the moment. With the characters that I have built (Jing Yuan, Clara, March, Himeko) Topaz might be better for them. Although, I am still Bronyaless…if I lose 50/50 and get Bronya I’ll definitely go for Seele (they should not be separated). I’ll just have to see how Friday goes I guess.

I've read online conflicting reports about the 4-piece fire set, where some people say the extra damage DOES work with Numby's follow up attacks, and others saying it DOES NOT work with them. How do you confirm if it does or doesnt work with them, at least until Topaz is out?
It does work, don't know why it wouldn't. But that's not the problem, the uptime is terrible, 12% dmg bonus is also not great.
Here’s a fun fact: Jing Yuan’s talent has the highest multiplier in the game at 660% when maxed against a single target
although a high number, its important to remember its 66 x 10, meaning you have to reapply the enemys defense 10 times
And yet he hits like a wet noodle compared to DHIL (in my case)

@@dee6561 honestly im not 100% sure, but based off my testing, my seele's basic does 100% of her attack while her skill does only 200% of her attack.
on the same enemy, same conditions, multiple tests, basic did 3000-4400, while skill did 9800-11400. two basic attacks (100% + 100%) != one skill (200%). but i could be missing something, so take this with a grain of salt
edit: i also tested her ult, which does 400% of her attack + 65% dmg boost (because shes considered in resurgence state during ult) and that did 40,000 which isnt the same as 4400 X 4 X 1.65

Can you show us the stats requirement for stats you used for swordplay and stellar sea? I have them both on s5, 60/145 crit with swordplay and 67/180 with stellar sea and same atk which one would you rate higher?
with that ratio, I like Stellar Sea. Having a 1:2 crit ratio really helped it.

I'm Clara main so pulling for Topaz is a no-brainer, not sure if using Asta could make Clara move too fast tho
You could alternatively use tinyun at e2 and equip her with the dance dance dance lc and the speed set, she could advance the teams action pretty well, not as well as asta, but still pretty good and not too speedy for Clara. You could also use Bronya if you have her :]

You might be right about that
I'm gonna need someone to explain to me how Asta and Clara on the same team isn't completely counterintuitive. It makes more sense in my brain to just bring Tingyun so you can double down on one of the two's strengths rather than trying to buff both. Yes Tingyun can only buff one at a time but very rarely are both characters going to be as useful as each other at the same time. As of right now, nothing in the game is weak to both fire and physical at the same time. So either you're in scenario A) you're bringing Clara into a physical weak boss and she's the primary damage dealer, in which case Topaz will serve her role as a debuffer with her vulnerability and contribute minor damage every now and then with numby's advances. This also adds value to the Tingyun pick because it becomes less random for you to hit the actual marked target since your ult uptime is getting improved to a point of consistency. Scenario B) You're vs an elite that's fire weak and Topaz is the primary damage dealer. The Asta pick isn't horrible in this scenario, as the anti-synergy with Clara isn't as apparent and you're being partial to Topaz to begin with. However, I begin to wonder why not just run Tingyun for the attack + dmg% buffs she grants, as well as the invaluable energy gain she can provide that are very welcome for a 130 cost. Clara is going to do her job in that comp regardless, despite it being more up in the air whether the boss hits her (which is mostly fixed by having Lynx on the team increasing her chance to be hit to around 70% before ultimate), and Topaz gets to do her job as the fire carry while fully utilizing her own debuffs. I think trying to use Asta/Yukong are trying to spread oneself thin when you can simply play Tingyun in a more dynamic way and get better results. And once we get our hands on Huohuo, Asta becomes even more redundant as then we'll have teamwide attack buff and teamwide energy gain (which Tingyun Clara and Topaz all mutually benefit from, and Huohuo likes having Topaz on the team too as it fulfills the teammate energy cost requirement for her energy regen trace).

I'll take the ER that Tingyun provides over more speed, just use SPD boots and an ATK rope
Asta in the team is to boost topaz fire elemental dmg as Planetary rendezvous have permanent uptime. asta also can massively boost speed up so that Numby hit more often. Topaz in essence can still do dps. She's just buffing FuA of other in the process.
Its not a top choice but it can get the job done. for topaz that is

I've done many testing with Asta and Clara, unless you're using dance dance dance or using Clara with SPD boots (which you shouldn't be). Speed isn't an issue and not anti-synergistic. If you're ever in a spot where SPD hurts Clara's Ult uptime, you can always glitch Asta's 2 turn spd buff into 1 by using it before Clara goes. Also, Planetary rendezvous is recommended for even better Topaz DMG. Asta's Permanent 70% ATK is teamwide and really hard to beat.
I have to disagree with the boots, although yes it could benefit you more in a single, doube or triple wave by dealing higher damage and ending it fast. I would prefer speed, since it affects both Numby and Topaz, not to mention the more action you take the easier you fill the ult bar and of course the more you get Stonks ultimate, the higher damage you dealt

Like the guide mentions, she's meant to be a sub-dps to SUPPORT a followup attacker. It literally shows at 10:38 how she would fare as a hypercarry; not that great. If Topaz is the only followup attacker hitting the enemy, Numby won't be attacking as often as you need to deal consistent damage.

I am going to try a team of Himeko, Topaz, Silver Wolf and Fu Xuan. Himeko's AoE is strong enough that I think focusing down a priority target with Silver Wolf and Topaz will beneficial. This team will also be able to break toughness bars for Himeko very consistently.

@@GladiusCC thats what Silver Wolf is for. If the enemies are already Fire or Quantum weak then you can just add the other weakness to break more often.
I feel like Tingyun can be a great addition to the team, and should be a 4/4.5 in the rating instead of 3.5. Yes, she can only buff one person; but she can have Clara keep her Ult up for much longer. When things shift from an AoE to a single-target situation, Tingyun can then buff Topaz instead for the strong single-target damage.
That said, I have Asta built up but not Tingyun (wild, I know) so I'll be trying with Asta first and seeing how that goes. More speed = more Numby damage, plus Asta has that great synergy with Fire attackers and Charge will boost everyone. Since we don't know Topaz's numbers yet (afaik), if that Numby damage is high that'll help Asta's case.
Likely can't go wrong with either choice though, so "use the waifu" is the best way to decide between the two.
if the fight is heavily single target gated, Clara's weakness will be offset by better Topaz's performance. Topaz will likely just replace Clara and opt for a more hypercarry style team. So yea Tingyun will be better utilized, but introducing Tingyun will likely be replacing Clara and not other supports。 So TingYun can be good situationally, just not as universal as she usually is. Usually TingYun is 4 or 4.5 in most star rail teams. Bronya is usually a 5, but gets taxed heavily by limitations.

After Topaz is built, Tingyun is definitely being built next either way.

I will be trying this team and similar teams, I built my Clara pure tank, just so I can make this work.
Pair it with lynx and its going to perform pretty well. She could solo sustain because of the aggro she gives clara. You would also break really consistently because of the 4different types. I think the team will be pretty solid and a lot of fun so go for it!

Well in this case you talked about being hyper carry, but I saw her as more of a Sub dps support, so I'd rather prioritize running speed boost and recover more skill points for the main dps. Rather than atk boots

I wouldn't advice this unless you are willing to remove the preservation/abundance slot for TY (Or want to stick trying to make her a Hypercarry instead) JY needs TY for
