I do wish they didn't make the other oracles though. Histoire is supposed to be the oracle to all 4 of them. Since they are retconned to be split apart from 1 single goddess. I like them as characters though so I wish they were just the service desk employees instead. Lesser role, but makes the lore make more sense. Also I like the Megadimension VII one best. =3 xD
I've always assumed that they hide their stuff in their discs. Well, Compa does anyway; she has a disc holder on her waist, after all. IF doesn't need one as her katara are hidden in her sleeves. I presume Nisa and Gust just carry their stuff and Neptune has her own hammerspace as a CPU power. I mean, if they can hold a whole army of Excite Bikes, who's to say they can't act as hammerspace?
@TheTouhouFreak That's the most likely scenario, I'm really looking forward to Uni's and Nepgear's English VAs. Their voices are really well done in the JP version.
>that feel when you loved the fuck out of the first game but realized a sequel would never see the light of day >hyperdimension neptunia MK2 trailer >ALLOFMYMONEY
@TheTouhouFreak It is. The events of the previous game did not occur in this universe. Everybody except for a select few have no recollection of the happenings that took place in the first game. The characters that do remember point out that they feel like they’ve met some of the other characters before, but that’s as far as the link between the two games goes.
Sadly I'll probably be waiting a little while before buying this game. I just recently bought the first one, and I had considered getting the second one but decided to wait and see how I liked the first one. Wouldn't ya know it, I like it and the current price for this game is a bit much, on Amazon the cheapest for a new copy is 62 bucks plus shipping (A bit too much for my budget). Knew I should have acted earlier because a few days ago there was one for 49.99. Damn...
@Aphrey Don't worry about that. The ending is non-canon. I'm hoping to get and get through the first game in time for this one. I think this game is gonna be good personally even though I'm sure people are still gonna complain about it. Its just a neat idea to me.
you can always watch the Japanese version via Crunchyroll. They are supposed to get the anime the same day it comes out in Japan. However, it is in Japanese if that's not an issue.
@2EZ Nope. Mk2 is set in an alternative universe; in other words, the events of the first game never occurred and all of the goddesses, except Vert, now have little sisters.
Crunchyroll is similar in aspects to Netflix, in that it streams on PC, as well as the primary consoles. I'm not sure how well the PC streaming is though, because I usually just use my PS3. But the site is in English, animes are in japanese.
@kyokun47 There are no scenes that warrant an 'M' rating; nevertheless, some people may find Trick the Hard’s antics to be offensive, and there’s that cord bondage scene. Other than that, the ecchi content is pretty much the same as it was in the first game.
@GenerationBright People have different ideas about what an "Otaku" really is, my meaning of the word is a full on no lifer japanese lover that stays at home ALMOST 24/7 nerding games, anime, visual novels and manga while owning a room half full/full of japanese anime/game figures, posters, ecchi bed cover/pillows and other items. and yes loving japanese music too
@gothicagirl306 The battle system, the sisters, the lily system (to an extent), and the fact that 4 continents are no longer separated and form one massive continent instead. The graphics and OST are also better.
@ScarletKnive Magic also kinda looks like Arfoire from the first game getting her CHAR on. At first i honestly thought she could have been Arfoire in disguise pulling the strings. And she still looks shady enough to be the one pulling the strings.
Thats quick. Cool! Well, if the games are anything to go by, I'd say the States would probably get it near the end of of 2013 or in the Fall of 2013. Also, does Crunchyroll have viruses and does it require me to download anything to watch videos? Is the site in English or Japanese? Is it easy to navigate and find stuff?
@Ebb1993isgreat I actually can't say for sure as I have yet to receive the game myself. Honestly, I'm expecting it to be as lighthearted as the first game was. The Industry Graveyard area does seem darker than the rest of the areas in the game. So perhaps.
@Aphrey Oh yeah! Wasn't there a cosmic reset or something when Arfoire #1 died. I never got to the originals end since i bought the game really late on Amazon. So i only heard stuff about the ending. Wonder if that means that this series will reach DC universe levels of retcon abuse.
@davem1992ftw There's /nothing/ in the game that suggests it is a sequel that is set 3 years later. Sure, there are various references to the first game, but that's all they are.
@CyberSurfer3258 Yeah, I found out about it today. It doesn't bother me all that much because I only see it as a screwed up 'what if' ending. Plus, it isn't canon. I'm on the true end path myself, and I’m hoping that the true ending is a happy one.
@colonel24567 Oh, no. I loved the English voice acting in the first game. I'm sure it'll be as good if not better in mk2. It's just that some certain scenes.. are going to impact me a whole lot more in English as my knowledge of Japanese is rather lacking compared to my knowledge of English. Sorry about the misunderstanding. ^^
@ArtistRedSilver The dungeon exploration was pretty tedious and music in those dungeons was boring. The dialogue, humor, out of dungeon music, and character designs are genius though. They also had a great combo system even though the item and healing aspect of battle was flawed. Worth picking up if you like anime and gaming!
Ffffffuuuuuuuu!!!!! I just got ahold of the first game a while ago (bcause my gamestop just now got it in) and now there's a 2nd and soon to b 3rd!!!! Dammit!
@ArtistRedSilver I know this wasn't directed at me, but still. The first one is good. While it does have some glaring flaws, the characters are great, and so is the humor. I believe NISA did a reprint not long ago? The second game is a complete overhaul; it truly is better in almost every way.
@Speeddemon105 I'm confused.. Worry about what? What ending, the ruler/dominance one? The first game is pretty enjoyable, but mk2 is a better game in almost every aspect. If the first game is a 3/5, then mk2 is definitely a 4/5.
i'm so poor T_T there are so many nerds out there, i just need one guy that pays for me, i can be tsundere, loli, neko whatever T_T but i can't find one, whyyyyy D:
I love the opening of the first one but, this one is immensely catchy and upbeat!
if you read neptune's profile info ingame, it says this:
"Don't ask where she keeps her snack".
This honestly in my opinion was the best neptunia game
I love the word "Neptunia" being built in here.
0:32 THE BEST PART BEGINS!! Making it the best intro song in my opinion 😁 That harmony in unmatched!!!!!
I do wish they didn't make the other oracles though. Histoire is supposed to be the oracle to all 4 of them. Since they are retconned to be split apart from 1 single goddess. Also I like the Megadimension VII one best. =3 xD
an anime adaptation has been anounced today yay can't wait.
JAIMECAST88 wow today it alerdy sounds like 5 years ago but it's been an accomplishment back then
It's been 11 years, god damn
I love this game with a passion, although I liked things about the first more, I still love it
Nao (fripSide), I love your music! Openings for neptunia and neptunia mk2 are gold!
I really love it!!!!
I've always assumed that they hide their stuff in their discs. Well, Compa does anyway; she has a disc holder on her waist, after all. IF doesn't need one as her katara are hidden in her sleeves. Yui Horie who was Naru Narusegawa in Love Hina is the Seiyuu for Nepgear!! I love her voice! In fact a majority of the seiyuus are an all star cast!
Pretty cool!
@TheTouhouFreak That's the most likely scenario, I'm really looking forward to Uni's and Nepgear's English VAs. Their voices are really well done in the JP version.
@aliastheabnormal well no this is a sequel and it's set 3 years later, FMA Brotherhood is a retelling of the original manga story.
such a cool opening
>that feel when you loved the fuck out of the first game but realized a sequel would never see the light of day

@PSCeasar Idea Factory develops, Compile Heart publishes in Japan, NIS publishes in America and Europe.

from what I read, they are supposed to be releasing it in the summer of 2013.
Sadly I'll probably be waiting a little while before buying this game. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SH
@strickman202 They are still taking preorders until the 27th of February according to their catalog.
Btw the song is called pieces
@Aphrey I myself quite liked the first game but I absolutely LOVE this one, so much fun.
Very cute, really want this game
Indeed. I thought my friends were trolling me at first. I'm hoping the true end won't disappoint!
@2EZ Nope. Mk2 is set in an alternative universe; in other words, the events of the first game never occurred and all of the goddesses, except Vert, now have little sisters.
@Aphrey i can't believe the game is rated M!
Crunchyroll is similar in aspects to Netflix, in that it streams on PC, as well as the primary consoles. I'm not sure how well the PC streaming is though, because I usually just use my PS3. But the site is in English, animes are in japanese.
Man, I like this so much more than V's opening, They're all good though.
@kyokun47 There are no scenes that warrant an 'M' rating; nevertheless, some people may find Trick the Hard’s antics to be offensive, and there’s that cord bondage scene. Other than that, the ecchi content is pretty much the same as it was in the first game.
Imagine playing this very game on ps3 with custom firmware
@GenerationBright People have different ideas about what an "Otaku" really is, my meaning of the word is a full on no lifer japanese lover that stays at home ALMOST 24/7 nerding games, anime, visual novels and manga while owning a room half full/full of japanese anime/game figures, posters, ecchi bed cover/pillows and other items. and yes loving japanese music too

Mk3, no, but Neptunia V (V is for Victory) is coming out this August in Japan.

oh. okay, thanks
Wait! Really?! The anime better do good in Japan cause I want to watch it in the states. Thanks for the info. :)

@TheDog7118 Um...last I remember isn't it C.H. developing it and NIS just lending their name or something
@KyuubiLover It's been confirmed that it will.
@davem1992ftw There's /nothing/ in the game that suggests it is a sequel that is set 3 years later. Sure, there are various references to the first game, but that's all they are.
Did......DID I JUST SEE GAOGAIGAR?!??!!??
1:13 the best part of the song
cool opening
I need to own this game T_T
And in America in March of 2013.
@Aphrey no it's in the future
Ion know how I feel
@CyberSurfer3258 Yeah, I found out about it today. It doesn't bother me all that much because I only see it as a screwed up 'what if' ending. Plus, it isn't canon. I'm on the true end path myself, and I’m hoping that the true ending is a happy one.
I hope this game comes to america so I can play it but I dont know if I can go through that dark ending.

@aliastheabnormal Something along those lines, yes.
@Aphrey They even say in the game
@Aphrey So its kind of like the Fullmetal alchemist animes? Same characters wildly different plot.
@L2Xiscul I'm pretty sure the game will come to the West, and soon. But yeah, the ruler end is going to be horrible in English.
I like this one better. It's more vivid. I like the song better as well.
But of course it's a matter of taste. ... think there'll be a MK-3 ?
@TheTouhouFreak I'd lol if that was a reference in the game.
what a pretty game
i love it

I can't find a review on this game anywhere. Would you recommend it?

Ffffffuuuuuuuu!!!!! I just got ahold of the first game a while ago (bcause my gamestop just now got it in) and now there's a 2nd and soon to b 3rd!!!! Dammit!
@TheTouhouFreak Unfortunately the 28th now -_-
@FrozzyXP Yeah, I think so.
@AnimeGuitarist21 yes
what's the difference between this one and the first one? (cuz i have the first one)
@ArtistRedSilver I know this wasn't directed at me, but still.
The first one is good. While it does have some glaring flaws, the characters are great, and so is the humor. I believe NISA did a reprint not long ago? The second game is a complete overhaul; it truly is better in almost every way.
Agreed ~
@KyuubiLover How was the first one? Wasn't able to try it and seems it's impossible to get now.
@Speeddemon105 I'm confused.. Worry about what? What ending, the ruler/dominance one? The first game is pretty enjoyable, but mk2 is a better game in almost every aspect. If the first game is a 3/5, then mk2 is definitely a 4/5.
Huh. They used this in the anime...
+thefellow3j Yeah, they used songs from all three openings of the first three games in the anime. Yes, I know i am ultra late for this comment.
:O this song was also used in a anime called kyoukai senjou no horizon !!!!!
@davem1992ftw Its called a comparison...
\o/ NAO!
I wish the english dubs on this game isn't like the first game.
Twin drills.
@davem1992ftw What makes you think so?
Does anybody know what this song is called?
i'm so poor T_T there are so many nerds out there, i just need one guy that pays for me, i can be tsundere, loli, neko whatever T_T but i can't find one, whyyyyy D:
It sucks that my sisters name is one of these new characters lol she's lucky plus she loves anime lol
When is it supposed to come out? 2014 or late 2013?
It was released in 2011
@LordofBacon42 Kirihake! Gracie ☆ Star - nao
