The recommended battery is actually a 4000 mah. I don't have any of those which is why I've never gotten a Futura but I am comforted to see you were able to use a 6000. So, if a 6000 can fit, my many 5000s should as well. Thank you for this.
I liked the Futura v3 so much I bought a second one during the Christmas sale and points I had with FMS. (I also bought their a-10 v2. And their Bae Hawk. The Bae Hawk could be the 1st ever 80mm jet trainer. It’s that stable and easy to land) My friends have always said I have a tendency to exaggerate, but I mean it when I say if Jesus returned and got into RC, his favorite edf would be the Futura v3. It’s that’s good. I can’t find a single thing that this jet doesn’t do well- 1) It’s pretty fast 2) Turns on a dime 3) Very stable in level flight, if you’re into scale 4) At 100% 20% expo you roll it like a top 5) Always recovers nicely 6) Most important to me with our 40 year old runway- It’s easy to land
I just picked this plane up, I'm a ways from running and still need battery packs for it. I see your running 6000mah which I didn't think you could do, I was told 5000 mah so I'm asking what you recommend for best performance?
Thank you I got it all taken care of, decided to just stick with the 5000mah since that one came the most recommended for that model. I went with the NX7E transmitter and I think the Ar630 receiver with safe no gyro. Not yet anyway.
@@RCPoor I don't understand why anyone would go Spektrum these days. So expensive for such limited capability! Best of luck with your first few flights though.

Whoever filmed this did an excellent job! I might be a bit late, but.... Happy New Year to Essential RC and to everyone else here!
Thanks, you too!
Great review. Was looking to purchase either this jet or inrunner version of Freewing Avanti S . Which one would you recommend ?
Excellent camera work J 👌
Great flight .
Thanks.
Thanks 👍

Great flying there. Especially since that was a maiden flight shows how good the model and pilot is.
Happy new year, great video as usual,be nice to let viewers no how much battery is left after each flight 😀
Great flying Dom - it goes a treat!! I am resisting temptation LOL
Great flying! looks like a lot of fun 😎
It was and all with excellent guidance from the TX16S radio 😉
You flew the shit out of that EDF!
FUNTURA !!!
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Futura is a reale cool jet
Do you think this is a good first edf for someone that flys prop planes usually!
Yes

Either works. Longer flight time with the larger pack. I use the packs in other models. I hate buying smaller packs for one model.

@@EssentialRC well I haven't unboxed anything yet, it's all returnable so what is your go to brand, and why?
Which is faster: The jet, or the drone shooting the amazing footage? Please excuse my stupid question - I have zero experience of RC planes or drones.
In this case the jet was faster. For the chase sequences I was flying at half throttle.
