In the western and southern margins of Gandum Beryan region, Shoor river (Kal Shoor) flows from Ravar mountains of Kerman and enters Lut Desert. It cuts the Lut (Lut Desert) and goes to the central hole of the Lut Desert to settle in the salt marshes of that area.
To access the Gandum Beryan area, you must first come from Kerman to Shahdad Road to Nehbandan. 40 km after passing Shahdad town, you should enter to the left and move 35 km in the desert to reach Shoor river. The area of Gandum Beryan on the other side of the Shoor River is located at an altitude of about 120 meters compared to the surrounding areas.
Gandom Beryan, also known as the " toasted wheat" in Persian, is a desert region located in the heart of Iran. It holds the title for the hottest place on the planet, with temperatures soaring as high as 70 degrees Celsius or 159 Fahrenheit. This remarkable place has fascinated adventurers and explorers for years, but exploring it can be a daunting and dangerous task.
Gandom Beryan is located in the Lut Desert, which covers an area of over 51,000 square kilometers in southeastern Iran. The region is vast and barren, with towering sand dunes, rugged terrain, and a total lack of vegetation. The harsh and hostile environment has made it difficult for humans to survive, and those who dare to enter the area should prepare for the worst.
The extreme heat in Gandom Beryan is the biggest danger that explorers face. The high temperatures can cause heat exhaustion, dehydration, and even death. The desert terrain is also treacherous, with steep sand dunes that can be difficult to climb, and rocky outcroppings that can cause serious injury.
The extreme heat also poses a risk to vehicles and equipment, which can quickly break down and leave explorers stranded in the middle of the desert. Even with modern technology, it is challenging to traverse the desert safely, and many explorers have lost their lives attempting to cross it.
The lack of water and shelter in Gandom Beryan is another major concern for those who venture into the region. The desert is devoid of any permanent settlements, and there are no sources of water or food. Explorers must bring all the supplies they need, including enough water to last for the entire journey.
