Very clever how they wrote the show, letting the children improvise their lines was a risk worth taking, as it makes it seem like a normal everyday family, instead of it being blatantly obvious it's a TV show, loved this when it was on, shame it's ended but it wouldn't work the same with all of them as adults.
@@annacarter6559 They're neither super healthy nor super unhealthy. They're like plenty of families - lots of flaws but basically good enough to raise similarly decent, non sociopathic people who are also flawed. They are neither excellent parents nor truly awful ones.
15 years on and I still think Ramona Marquez and Daniel Roche are the two best British child actors that have ever lived. Tyger is brilliant but I never think of him as a child actor as Jake is so mature and we still see him now as an adult
Excellent ! Been having a wonderful time watching the short clips put up on TH-cam . Have promised myself to buy the complete set which, I have a sneaking suspicion one of my close friends is going to do for Christmas. My fingers are crosssed !!
OMG love outnumbered soo much i have the whole collection of DVD's hoping to me the lovely tyger in 2 weeks whoopie sooo excited i have heard he gives the best hugs :P xx
First of all, I'll have you know her name is Kylie and how do I know that? Because I used to watch this series when I was a kid, and I know all of the characters so please get her name right in the future, and, second of all, the only thing you're doing right now is dissing my autistic friend who likes YUNGBLUD, whose name is, obviously, Karen.
No, Jerry Franklin is. He's 15 now, but he started his career as an actor when he was 3 years old, then he started his career as a musician in 2020 at age 11.

Its actually quite true the people though they are middle class comfortable though messy hate the Karen character too like a millennial the Ben character is more himself so more funny
So two quite odd middle aged men are explaining to the world how children behave when they are spontaneous for 45 minutes at a time while absolutely pandered to by a dozen poorly payed professional people. Jesus
@@Ater_Draco lol another Karen-caller =room temperature IQ. You have, like your kind always, no evidence to back up your statement. Try sources a bit more stable than random articles online and you will discover the history of those children, not just what they look like in the glossies.

I'm not really seeing where you're getting 'absolutely pandered to' from. They are being interviewed here and the interviewer is clearly trying to get them to relax and just chat and show him around and introduce him to people. And the adults are hanging back since it's an interview of the kids. They obviously have rules and have to do homework etc and don't spend the entire day just running around playing. But they do spend a lot of hours there so they feel at home there. And they spend a lot of time with the crew and eat together etc so they know them. (Or spent I guess since this is all many years ago).

Normal possibly, at least statistically. Healthy, in no way

Fascinating. The opposite of movies where the kids are given cringeworthy adult lines. I am thinking mainly of a place between Mexico and Canada.
XD I got you
Tyger's adorable when he says "For me it's an hour" - clearly relishing the fact that he's the oldest one! =D
RAMONA IS ADORABLE!
BEN IS LIKE THIS IN REAL LIFE OMG LOOOOOL
i love Outnumbered!
This series is such a gift👍🏻
These kids are undeniably exactly like their characters
Which means they're just playing themselves, so not good at acting
My favourite line is from Ben. “First man to climb Everest without oxygen, and a jumper”.
A beautiful thing you all have created . Its touched me .
I love Outnumbered! Its great!
Whoever did the casting should get a BAFTA
Claire is so pretty

This was and is a fabulous series. How the adults kept a straight face with the three amazing children is beyond me. I'd love to see the corpsing 😂❤
Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner are together in real life now 🥰
Really???!!!
Yeah since 2017
Yeah that was a surprise and quite ironic.
Love it though !!!

Grandad: It beats being dead.

4:40 I don’t think Andy Hamilton needed to kneel on the floor.
Is Ramona the youngest ever actress ever cast in a major role?
No, Jerry Franklin is. He's 15 now, but he started his career as an actor when he was 3 years old, then he started his career as a musician in 2020 at age 11.

The series should have finished after series two while the kids were still cute and Hugh & Claire didn't have worry lines .
Even lefty Andy Hamilton is now not considered far left enough to have the BBC put on anything remotely like this any more.
