So glad I came across this video bro. My brother and I have been wanting to install a cold air intake for a while now. Same make/model/year as yours. No I feel inclined too do so
I own a 2015 acura tlx too and your car sounds rlly nice man! I was wondering if I should get the cold air intake for it. Let me know how it feels with the cold air intake installed bro.

It might say for Accord and that is because the Accord and 1st gen TLX 2.4L share the same engine (with minor revisions to TLX engine to be mated to the DCT)
I'd like to believe that gas mileage increased and throttle response. If so definitely not by too much. This honestly was more of a sound mod than anything.
Economy engine lol it has pretty much the same engine as a 9th gen Civic Si. An economy K24 is the one that's in like an older CRV or Accord that make 160 HP and don't have true VTEC like this one clearly does
The main goal of the Earthdreams engines were to maximize fuel efficiency regardless of having VTEC or not, so I'd confidently say that this is meant to be an economy engine. Either way, this has VTEC on the Intake side only, which is definitely not regarded as true VTEC. Not to mention, this K24 is very obviously mechanically different from a K24Z7.
@@VtecBowers lol ok buddy whatever you say. The ILX and Si are literally the same engine. Both have integrated exhaust manifolds, both make almost identical horsepower and torque, both have VTEC only on the intake side. Oh because one has the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine and the other one has it in the rear all of a sudden they're not even close? Lmao, Earthdreams main goal was to maximize fuel efficiency? Hmm interesting I guess the Civic Type R Earthdreams is also not a performance engine its only for fuel efficiency. Like I said your comoarison is completely wrong....non performance economy K series are K20a3 in the base RSX, K20C2 that has VTEC in the base civics are economy, and all of the K24's in those Accords and CRV's that make 160 HP not 200 are economy motors
@@brokentradgedy Maybe you’re referring to the 2013-2015 ILX engine which IS the exact same as a 9th gen si. The 2016+ ILX had the K24V7 which as you said, has the head completely flipped, which believe it or not, would make the two engines not the same. And saying that Earthdreams MAIN goal is maximizing fuel economy does NOT disallow them from making performance engines?? They can both exist at the same time, but either way just google their mission statement and they will tell you themselves that a majority of these engines are for fuel economy and saving the environment lol. And buddy, why would they drop a 160hp engine in a 4000lbs 2015 5 seater sedan? Cars are getting heavier… why would they NOT increase the horsepower over time?? Just because it has more than 160hp doesn’t instantly qualify it as a performance engine I don’t know where you are sourcing that from. By that logic, ALL Earthdreams engines are performance engines. The lowest performing Earthdreams k24 makes like 175 crank, but guess what? The chassis it’s in is almost 1000 pounds lighter than a TLX!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
Just bought this intake today, cant wait to see how it sounds in real life
If you're anything like me then you won't be disappointed for sure!

Glad I could help!
Great video bro, and love the sound! Just one question, is this the same thing engine as the ILX? 🤔 🤔
The TLX and 2nd gen ILX engines are extremely similar with subtle differences that I honestly couldn't tell you

You should go for it! It hasn't had any negative effects on my car yet.
I own the same model and year. I even want to install this, From where did u got it and what are the speciation for that cold intake.

I’ve got a 2019 and was thinking of getting one of these. Did you notice any change in gas mileage or power?

Any other mods planned? I got the same car.
Do they make throttle body spacer for this ?? 2.4l
