Thanks Justin. You convinced me to do the LED update too. Coincidentally, I installed the ACS rock guards on my Z06 today. Great recommendation! It only took a few minutes per wheel. I think they are overpriced as a full set of 4 costs $500, but my neighborhood just had the roads “resurfaced” which is a fancy way of saying they sprayed tar and then threw lots of loose gravel on it. A week into that, there is still so much loose gravel on the road surface being thrown up by the wheels at 15mph that I had to stop driving the Z06 until the rock guards came in.

Thanks Justin, watching this just cost me $140.00 in the TPMS items and the LED's. I already have the TKO filter and rock guards for a previous video of yours. I wanted the side markers until I saw the cost. Need more overtime for that. But, they would look good on my Yellow Z51.

Another great video! I just picked up a black on black C7 z51 and I'm about to start blacking everything out so I'll definitely buy some stuff from your links. I saw on your ZO6 you did 18% all the way around, I'm tempted to do 5% but you're 18% looked almost as dark. What made you pick the 18%? And do you think you'll do it on the ZR1? Also thinking about getting the RPI designs acrylic tail light covers, would you recommend those?
Thank you. I did already do window tint on the ZR1. I got 20% on the windows and it looks fantastic on a black car! I personally think 5% is probably too dark but if you can get away with it it's probably fine. I've always done 20% on my car's but when I got my Z06 done 18% was the closest they had to 20. I am actually looking to do those same tail light covers so I definitely recommend them! 👍

Enjoyed your video and went ahead and ordered several of the items from Amazon. One question about the lug nuts though, on the Amazon description it say "Chrome/Black" but I didn't see any way to choose "Black". I went ahead and ordered a couple of sets since they fit both of my C7 and my RDX--both with dark wheels. Hopefully they will be black and not chrome when they arrive.

Thanks for the updates on the mods. Question on your license plate. You have a smoked clear shield on your plate. I have ACS license plate can you add that shield to any plate? All my mods on my Black Z06 are from ACS. Thanks.

You're costing me $. ;) I ordered 20 blk McGard lug nuts, 4 TPMS sensor nuts, 4 blk valve stem caps, a TPMS sensor nut tool and the rear license plate/trunk LED lighting kit. I need to find a way to spend your $! That's how it's supposed to work, you know! ;) ETA: I forgot the LED lights so I had to go back and order those.

I went with the lighter weight black titanium lug nuts. Looks now 100 percent improvement plus less rotating weight.
I was going to do the same but I don't like the open ended lug nut look.

I ordered 4 corvette stickers to block out the yellow chevy emblem on the NEW smoked out hood and rear emblems and they do not even come close to fitting. However they do fit the original emblems, which I REMOVED.
Correct, these will only fit the stock badges.

I got my Grand Sport with cold air intake. Went to replace with Attack Blue and it wouldn’t fit. Had to buy stock replacement
As of now, the Attack Blue filter only fits the stock airbox.

I don't have the Z06 anymore. I traded it in on the ZR1.
How do you fix a paint chip?
The best quality way? Repaint the panel. The cheapest/easiest way? Touch up paint and wet sanding.
What kind of wing is on there? Is there a link?
That is the stock C7 Corvette ZR1 wing.
All this stuff you've already done to your ZR1 and I still haven't fixed my side marker light on the Lambo that you pointed out when you were at my house. 😂

You said the stock performance air filter adds 17hp and the nano filter adds 15hp. So its 2hp less, right ?
There isn't an actual posted number yet that was just a guess but I'll know for sure soon.

1. Loved the intro!
2. Valve stem covers were actually the 2nd mod I did, in chrome of course, right after I "modded" my valve stem caps to chrome. I heartily approve of your comparable mod in that it is said that once you go black, you'll never go back. 🤣
3. I give you a ten on the C7 little known information board in that I had no idea the C7s had so much LED lighting. As you said though, that begs the questions why oh why did GM not finish the job?
4. Your ACS front wheel well rock guards, they are shiny black? They look great, but maybe if you hound them on the C7, which I've been doing on the C6, as to whether or not they're going to have their add-ons in CF or at least in a hydrocarbon dip duplicating the factory exposed CF look? I'm kinda hoping we may surprised at Corvettes at Carlisle with same, but I hate surprises. 🤣 Then again, having a C8 show up in my driveway would be an epic surprise with instant love.
5. I see you still have on the dealer temp plate. Will you be getting a personalized plate. Remember, I hate surprises, plus I don't kiss and tell.
In summary, you get a Peter Corvette Score of 10. I'd go higher, but I only have then digits.

@@petercarey6883 thanks, Peter! The XL rock guards are actually "carbon flash" painted which is basically black with some silver flake in it. I have my vanity plate back from my Z06 now but I might be changing it up in the future. 👍👍
What color is closer to the oem leds? 6000k or 5000k?

Nope. I don't live in an area where that is a concern and I don't like the way they look.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I too live in an area, gated golf community, where it is not an issue. But at some point I will leave the subdivision and the car will be parked in a public area. It doesn't take long to remove your 2k tires and 2-3k wheels, they are a high value target. Locking lugs cost, by same manufacturer, $28, a very inexpensive investment to save you a high dollar replacement. To each his own, good luck. You made a inexpensive investment in rock guards to save an expensive fix, repaint, same logic.
@@scram8188 it's similar logic but It doesn't really matter where you park your car or how you drive it you're going to get rock chips. I don't live in an area nor do I frequent areas that would ever have a problem with removing my wheels. And like I said the biggest thing for me is the look I don't like the look of a locking lug nut.
