I wrote an origin for this city, and the translation grammar would be terrible so don't take offense.
The zombie virus ravaged the world causing the end of the world, the population dropped sharply, and civilization retreated for hundreds of years. A group of people sacrificed countless people in order to build a better living environment. They broke through to the island, but found the wreckage of the starship.
People accidentally discovered that the starship control center can communicate, and people named it "Star Core AI".
After the analysis of "Star Core AI", the destruction of the earth by viruses should be caused by the wreckage of starships scattered all over the world with alien viruses, which are not harmful to alien civilizations, but are very dangerous to human beings.
People ask "Star Core AI". Can it help us rebuild civilization, "Star Core AI". Answer: Based on the law of the creator, it should take responsibility and help civilization revive.
So people began to accept the "star core AI". First, use the wreckage of the starship to build a radio tower and inform the survivors of a safe place.
Due to the increasing population, management problems began to arise. "Star Core AI" proposed to let it manage the distribution and operation of all things, otherwise the island will definitely go back to destruction in a few years.
Later, after a vote, most people agreed that the "Star Core AI" would take over the management and distribution, and those who disagreed would leave the island with supplies.
The remaining people, under the leadership of "Star Core AI", developed smelting, manufacturing, industry, and technology in sequence, and the rapid development of science and technology has the ability to start land reclamation.
After decades of development, people will build a tallest building in the center for "Star Core AI". The whole building is "Star Core AI". The core,
Due to the rapid development of population and city scale, "Star Core AI" needs a lot of calculations to manage the heat dissipation demand of the city. Later, four large cooling towers were built next to it to provide "Star Core AI" heat dissipation.
"star core AI". Controls everything in the city.

This is a gorgeous build, I can't get over how pretty the symettrical rail tracks being integrated with the highway is!
Thanks
I would imagine this is what a very very very young Coruscant would look like in Star Wars. Because the entire planet is basically one huge city built upon layer after layer of the old city levels.
reminds me of New New York in Futurama, where they just build the new city on top of the ruins of the old one
As an ecologist, I question how Coruscant has air. If the number of people, and how thick the city is, how are people breathing? Do they have enough trees for clean oxygen? I’m sure many people in there are sick (because it is a cramped up city) but since I mention that, the planet should be dead by now like a wasteland full of a layer of junk…
It looks like totalitarian hell to me
You will eat the bugs! You will own nothing! And you will be happy!
@@mephInc I'm sorry, what?

bro made Midgar, even mimicked the opening to VII. top notch 10/10. a lot of work done here
This build looks phenomenal but more like a dystopia than a utopia imho.
First thing the city reminded me of was city 17
It doesn't necessarily have good or bad vibes, but it's obviously totalitarian. The design symmetry and the artificial feels indicate that it is one man's design as opposed to many people's organic interactions.
We do tend to associate totalitarianism with dystopia, though.
Dystopia is in the eye of the beholder :)
@@vdinh143 totalitarianism is dystopia, and even from a practical standpoint this city looks awful to live in. It's every bad thing about American cities with a symmetrical look to make you forget how horrible this would be to live in. Surrounded by highways, no third places, nothing is walkable.
The scary part is it looks like it came from the future, so I'm saying that someday a city LIKE this could happen!
At the junctions on the inner ring you have cars who are stopping at the node but arent going on the off ramp, this can be resolved by enabling the "enter blocked junction" option in tmpe, which can be found in the junction restrictions menu. This will stop the unnecessary backups forming
You could also enable turning lanes which would also help with preventing back ups, by letting the cars who want to turn onto the highway in a different lane than the through traffic.
Otherwise I really like pedestrian area in the center with all the transit, thats really well done!
Thanks for your advice

@@beeelectricity you're welcome! Did you follow any particular inspiration for making this city?
@@erikhouse7907 Similar cities have been built before, but the scale is not so large, and the transportation network is not so complicated.
Later, I thought about building a city with a complex transportation network, because I really like to see the scene of cars and trains walking on the transportation network, which is very relaxing (although the process of creating the transportation network is not at all relaxing ~ haha 😅).
Although the design of many roads and railways is very unreasonable, the design that is comfortable to look at is also great. After all, this is a game where you can do whatever you want, so this city has been created.😀
@@beeelectricity lovely! The planning reminded me of some of the plans I've seen for Marc Lore's Telosa project. :)

Почему то этот город напоминает мне один из вариантов городов будущего, из фантастических фильмов 90-2000 годов.
I guess, I would rip off the whole highway-monstrosity except the core part of the outer ring for enough connectivity to make some space and would connect the monorail-things to ring roads and would use trams to connect thestations even further and make a central hub on either side at the free spced ring to combine the train lines and the rest of the free space could be whatever you want. The high way infrastructure here is so much overkill.
Very talented person designed this city. Wish i was this creative

More like dystopian city
…Why do people confuse efficiency with totalitarianism?
@@gramioerie_xi133the kind of efficiency you're seeing is about centralization. Allow me to explain.
The power and capital will be focused to the centre of the city which makes the rich richer and the poor around the fringes of the city poorer. The centre also becomes more important which means neglecting the fringes becomes much more manageable than neglecting the centre; that would be catastrophic. The people in the far corners will have essentially no chance to build important monuments to compete with the centre.
This goes on until the rich realize they are powerful enough to neglect the areas further from the centre all together. A caste system will follow shortly after. Which means the people from the outer and inner layers won't be allowed to interact or leave the city. The layers of the city will become functionally distinct cities all dominated by the centre. Descent is forcefully crushed. Freedom leaves the chat. Slavery becomes the norm. And your distance from the centre determines your worth as a human being.
society if derrick rose never got injured
This is dedication. Well done!!!!

This highway intersections are insane !
😇

I'm curious if you have even a rough estimate of how long this took to put together. I wouldn't be surprised if this was 1,000hr+ project. I never played CS but I bought CS2 yesterday and you sir just set the bar for where I want to take that game.
Although I haven't calculated the time, it is about 100 hours, but it requires MOD support. There are almost no MODs for CS2 at present. Creating complex and repeated roads will be extremely painful. It takes a lot of time.
This is probably my current limit in CS2, because the collision setting hinders creation. th-cam.com/video/HjpSRiWDDpM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cYTkKOeqf2Rsr3uA
@@beeelectricity 100 hours is very impressive given the scope of the city. I am looking at this through the lens of CS2 with only a few hours logged into the game though. Of course it makes sense that with familiarity of the tools and MOD optimization you could do something on this scale in a fraction of the time I would expect. I have just enough experience to have a basic conception of just how painful and time consuming setting up geometric roads will be, lol. My long-term desire with the game is to be able to create a sprawling futuristic dystopian sprawl that looks akin to something out of Blade Runner, but of course the game isn't fleshed out enough for this to even be possible yet. Maybe in a few years.

Damn! I'm still struggling to find out why my commercial demand is always 50% and my residential demand just stops at 30-50k pop every time. I couldn't perfect the game like you before CS:2 comes out. But crazy job. My dream build is basically this, maximum efficiency, symmetry. Also would like to know the traffic meter.
Symmetrical, use the "Move It" MOD copy function, but still need a lot of repairs and adjustments to the work of connecting roads.

Only an American could call this car centric insanity a utopia. There is a fucking super highway going right through the city.
But it has a walkable city center and some train connections to it
@@TheSpangster That's cool but the superhighway would still make it terrible to live there in real life.
@@goldminer754 I know, was a bit joking in that answer. Only missing part fpr the desaster woulfd be a lot of parking lots diectly next to the walkable city center :D
You do realize most European countries can fit inside our states, right?
Most of us don't have the option to walk/bike everywhere. I drive 100 miles (160km) a day just to get to and from work.
We have roads because we need them.
@@mephInc You do realize that countries like Sweden or Finland (they are quite large countries as well) have around the a population density of Arkansas, Oklahoma or Oregon and even bümfück nøwhere places in these countries have better public transportation and bike infrastructure than most of America's most densely populated places like New York or LA.
You do also realize that America was built on rail lines and all of the cities were walkable before pretty much every inner city got completely bulldozed in the 40s - 60s to make space for highways, roads and office buildings. If you check the Wikipedia of pretty much any midsize and bigger city in the US you will see that they had big tram networks. America was not built for cars it was bulldozed for cars.
Maybe ask yourself why you have to commute 160km every day and if that commute wouldn't be much more pleasant if you could just take a train (there likely even existed a train line between the places you travel in the past).
вот это город, вот это красота!!!!
