    You are a life saver! Coming from the world of building forms in Visual Studio...this is not logical at all. Thank you for putting this out there.

    If you go to the advanced Tab on the right pane the X and Y fields display the positioning in Row and Column numbers. I use this to check and adjust my row /column positions.

      Since you commented this tip, I've used it like 7 times.... love it! I swear, I feel like I've learned as much from comments on my channel as I have from anything else recently. Appreciate the help!

    Great tips, thank you! You may have saved my sanity with this! PowerApps take me back to the “bad old days” when Microsoft refused to accept the web standards and kept trying to re-invent html and css!

    Thank you, so much for posting this video. It has proven immensely helpful for me in positioning the various field controls on the New, Edit, and View forms. Honestly, you should submit this guidance to Microsoft and have them officially publish it on their web site. 👍👋

    Hi mate, if you have want to select all of a forms data keys and card values to change the font size etc, click the form and change the layout from vertical to horizontal or vice versa then click the undo button once, it may look like only the first card is selected but all of them are. Cheers

      @@powertothepeople4525 No worries, pity you can't just select all the keys separately but at least its its something.

    As a C# developer, hats off to anyone not killing themselves working with PowerApps - development of forms is sooo much easier and predictable with c#. Things don't move around you can design the form much, much, much quicker.

    Thanks for the tips, they are very helpful. Could you please advise how do i change the data entry fields, its showing as text field and i dont know how to change it

    • @powertothepeople4525
      @powertothepeople4525  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback!
      As far as changing the data entry fields, just insert whatever type of control you want into that Datacard, but make sure that you change the form to send that value to SharePoint instead of sending the text field back to SharePoint. It's hard to type out what I'm saying, I'm sorry if that didn't make sense lol

    • @Flower-girl-itis
      @Flower-girl-itis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks alot for responding so quickly, i was able to understand half the part - change the control type- deleting the existing text firld and adding the new control type from the input menu, but what do you mean by the remaining - how do i make the form send the value back to sharepoint.

    • @powertothepeople4525
      @powertothepeople4525  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So if you select the entire data card, you'll see a property called "update" in the advanced properties pane... make sure it is set to your new control's selected value.

    When I tried the global label text field tip it disabled the color option in my properties pallet. Now I can't change the color of my labels. Any idea what I may have done wrong?

    Can we change the style of multiple data cards single time? or we have to format one by one?

    • @powertothepeople4525
      @powertothepeople4525  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi! great question.... there is a comment below from user Lain Ray...… if you select the entire form, then change the layout from vertical to horizontal or vice versa then click the undo button once, it will select all Data Cards and you'll be able to format everything at once. I've tried this trick a couple times, and it works great if you want to change everything in each data card to be formatted the same way. Unfortunately, if you want to make all Title values, and all data card values formatted differently but consistently, i have not found a way to do that easily outside of dynamic formatting as explained in the video

  • @smith9808

    Wish they had the format painter option or just highlight all the fields to change the colour size etc. All of this is so long winded compared to other Microsoft programs
