Well, hey, I'm a guy and have followed Tori since the early days, and I didn't know what "Geraldine" was...that's the thing about her, though; since Boys For Pele, I think, she delivers with a little message you kind of have to discover...
"When she was good"?!? Who the flying fuck are these ppl?!? They may not always like what she's done, but at least she's had the staggering courage others have rarely had to explore her evolution and still be volcanic with what she has to say. I seriously don't give a flying rat's about the suggestions of surgery because the MUSIC should be the first thing we focus on, and the beloved Lady is just as prone to vulnerability and media attacks as anyone. This woman, for me, is a POWERHOUSE and always will be. Forget the X Factor twinklets, this lady writes her own stuff and has brought herself from one stage to another through the brilliance of her talent. That is becoming very rare these days, and needs to be remembered. Albums are beautiful in the sense that they tell a story as the songs melt into each other, and the iTunes MP4 bits really don't contribute to a landscape painting. They're just the teeny bit of bird poop in the corner of the frame.
My ex used to make fun of me for listening to Tori - he called it "music for lesbians to commit suicide to." And actually he's got a point lol...I wouldn't say I like the typical sentimental Tori piano track, but I liked "caught a lite sneeze" and "god" and a lot of the electronic stuff like "juarez" and "cruel." Really an amazing fucking musician and lyricist though...and I usually go for hardcore 80's punk rock.
That is hilarious, makes me think of the Lea Delaria quote from orange is the new black... "this is more depressing than a Tori Amos cover band" And I too love Fugazi and Tori!
It's very telling that he doesn't listen to it because of who he perceives the demographic to be, rather than whether he likes the music or not. I think a lot of straight men are afraid of their emotions. Some people are also afraid of unconventional personalities that stray from what their image is of 'normal', which keeps everyone safe and indoctrinated. I think she's brilliant, not crazy. I wish I would be so authentic with people, and fearless. It's so much better than the music out today.
He hasn't got a point, I'm a straight male and normally listen to heavier stuff. She is a musical genius and walked her own path, much like Ani Difranco did. I love seeing the world through a woman's eyes, you learn a lot.
Looking down at comments of Tori being a Kate Bush copy,I really have to disagree. When I first heard her back in 1992 or whenever I just dismissed her as such but how wrong was I.I have onlt recenty in the last few years become a tori fan but I love her so much. She is original and highly talented musician with her own voice and style and is also the most beautiful human being ever.I would love to see her live one day,in fact that is a huge thing on my wish list.God Bless you Tori. You are loved.
This woman is an Amazing creative human being. She is so Beautiful from the inside with just great musical talent. Yes she was influenced by Kate Bush and that's a Very positive thing indeed
It's kind of annoying that they showed such old performance footage. Yeah those songs are great but she put out stuff after that and continued putting stuff out and is putting stuff out now. Mix it up a bit. Anyway when Tori said "That she'll always be there for me" when talking about Promise, it me like a gut punch. Tears flew out of my eyes.
She admires Kate Bush (as we all do) but did not copy her. Kate Bush has influenced many bands but not Tori Amos. Tori Amos would still be much the same if Kate Bush had never been born but many bands would not exist as we know them, for example: Kate Bush -> Cocteau Twins -> My Bloody Valentine -> Smashing Pumpkins -> My Chemical Romance.
Shoegaze forever I can see how the image of the other worldly mystery muse of pop rubbed off on Tori. the persona Kate Bush invented certainly advised her, and the far fetched subject matter. but Tori's tone and musical style is completely different.
As if they have to dissect the fact that she is 50, completely irrelevant. The history of her music, influences, and achievements..plenty of other routes to explore
I have no idea how this make presenter made it all the way to the breakfast show wish such poor interviewing skills or character. he's so annoying, doesn't listen & looks at his prepared paper for doing last minute semi smart guesses as what to say next & completely misses the point. he just wants to fill air time with a full waffle. what a charisma on telly..
I love this woman!
Such a unique artist.. avid fan xxx
This was actually a really sweet video. You can tell Louise is a fan, and Bill is adorable as usual.
Her daughter has a beautiful voice.
I like how smart she is. You're never too old to ROCK! :-)
Oh my god😍 Tori is still absolutely gorgeous😍😘😗❤❤
Love this woman!!!
These BBC Interviewers are VERY Respectful,
I don't see any "problems" here.

True that! I remember my friends back in the day saying "Boys for Pele"? Why would she be talkin' 'bout the soccer player? Oy.
Great Tori!
She is AMAZING!!❤🎵

Well said sir
I love this women's music! I had her album! Love "Cornflake Girl" and "Pretty Good Year"
Most artists like to remain vague. I'm glad Bill, the male host, had her expand on her thoughts.
Not sure about her choice in glasses but she still looks pretty!
The CDs I have of Tori's music, I have played and played I really like her music especially under the pink
best of the lot.
Still very beautiful I've always fancied Tori

hahahaha
Funny but you're right she has lots of great songs. Whether it's because she's crazy or a genius we may never know!

Love you Tori, in a perfect world you would be mine, Ahhh dreams lol
This is tv show 🤩
"But first here's a reminder of SOME OF HER WORK..." is what he says.
Still hot.
Smartest women on earth.
thanks!
Dear Bill, Can you imagine asking Leanardo Da Vinci "dont you just think, HERE WE GO AGAIN on your 1001 painting' lol, Love Tori
"But first, here's a reminder of what Tori Amos sounded like when she was good."
she isn't as good as she was but she is still goos
"... here's a reminder of some of her work."
Stop striving to find something to be offended by.
Love Tori xx
I like how they introduced her as some edgey wild child, then she comes on soft spoken and talks about making wholesome promises to her daughter.
God please let me see Tori Amos live one day
She’ s touring Europe in 2022..
Look at my young little tori chick 🐣 freshly hatched.. so sweet..

oh wonder why they never had proffesional widow on ???? its gotta be big
She's beautiful but the lens not helping too much !
360p is the new 1080p
She looks like Loni Sanders.
shes great for 50
goodtimetone she's great regardless of age
Tricky you say? She's a raisin girl!
As if they have to dissect the fact that she is 50, completely irrelevant. The history of her music, influences, and achievements..plenty of other routes to explore
Typical nonsense BBC interviews.
Nobody BBC hack tries to have snidey laugh (at 2.55) at real talent.
Presenter looks like she hasn't washed in weeks!
Narrow minded Bill...
Let's butcher the song.

Unique but stop Botox!
