- Tried the 20XX Hack Pack for this TAS. The CPUs acted a bit weird on the non-flat stages however (like running into walls). Also, no ending congratulations screen in the 20XX version. Enjoy!

The Fire color scheme wasn't until Brawl. Super Smash Bros., & Melee have the reverse color scheme of red overalls, blue shirt, and hat. In Melee to Smash For 3DS/WiiU, Classic mode trophies are the default character appearance in-game, and the other modes give trophies with alternate color schemes. The TASer probably used that color scheme, and changed the color from blue to white. Even if they didn't, the All-Star mode trophy for Mario is the one that appears at the end.

What could have helped with the CPU acting weird was changing the player flag AI in Debug Mode to Alt Normal or Normalish in the General Codes section. The downside is that if you do this, the AI flags will reset to 20XX each bootup.

its either a perfect shield, his attack cancelled the hit from the car, or some hidden Di in Melee. I mean its probably part of the texture pack
If i'm not mistaken, every character gets 8 invulnerability frames when they perform a throw. I believe he times the throw to where Mario is invulnerable when the car would have otherwise hit him. Also, Ness just gets hit out of the throw by the car, as he is granted no invulnerability frames.
Noah has it right. Throwing gives you invincibility for a few frames. It's very useful!
When he threw ness to get hit by the car I thought I saw a short hop airdoge
