Hi! I can not explain the joy your videos bring. Especially now, on a Sunday, my day a week where I give myself no expectation or requirements. Especially it being a closet cleanout video. Your last one is my favorite video of yours to date. You gained forever loyalty from me with that one. You told me to like the video now so I thought I would comment too. I do not know if you are going to cry yet- but strength in your crying too. You give me strength in your crying. You give me strength when I rewatch as I clean out my own closet. As I reflect when I help clients or my own kids. You give me strength to dream of business expansion. Of planning my honeymoon. Asking my friends and community for help accepting resources for my own house projects. You have given me and continue to give me strength. And I just want to thank you.

Have you ever thought about creating a “keepsake” box for the clothing gifts you receive from your wife or any of your nostalgic ones? This way they’re not taking up closet space and they are kept all together in a safe and transportable container. 🤓

Your closet clean out (especially yours, but Cat’s too) has been a huge help to me- I loooooove vintage clothes and accessories and also built a costume collection when my kids and I were in local theatre. But I have entirely too much, and seeing your vulnerability and honesty helped me a lot with my own emotional attachment to all my pieces…
Btw, no wonder you had hung on to that Ralph Lauren striped button-down - that bright yellow looked fantastic with your coloring when you held it up!!💛🌼🌻✨

Find a good seamstress! I am certain you probably have several in New Orleans because someone who does this for a living can work magic on clothing and probably can repair the hole in that silk shirt to the point where you can’t even tell there was ever a hole. Get a pair of jeans that’s just one maybe two sizes too big and have them conform them to your body-best thing I have ever done in in my life. Still hoping for a house tour of where you live now😍

I think you did a great job 😊 I love wrap tops, one of my favorite, very versatile.😊 Maybe you could wear a pin with the silk blouse with a whole. I think the print bright colored dress is so fun for summer. I have a huge closet especially jeans because of work , and in go up in down with health issues so I have the hardest time letting go of jeans , lol I am a maximalist 😂 Your western and suede jacket is AWESOME 🤩

Some dry cleaners have reweavers who work for them. I had a beautiful silk dress I wore often with a small hole and paid to have the hole rewoven many years ago. They did a good job. It can be done if it’s worth it to you. I don’t know what it what cost now.

Because that area is black try getting lightweight iron on repair tape. I wore my mothers quilted pajamas to my son’s prom (don’t ask) and there was a hole in the black area that the tape repaired and even I can’t find it. That was twenty five years ago…those pajama were made of that new fabric called Nylon. They were a gift from our wealthy aunt to my mother in 1940. They are hanging in the back of my closet….

My sister is coming home from Spain next month to help me edit….she may be smaller than me now and she’ll make out like a bandit. I’ll be face timing her and she’ll be wearing that wonderful white linen bias cut shell with the white embroidery on it that was mine….and I’ll hisssssss., “You give that back to me…..” quoting one of my favorite movies: The Bad Seed. A must see.
I have a dress from that era of the Hong Kong cardigan (good vintage stuff out of Hong Kong…usually custom made) designed by Mr Blackwell of the worst and best list fame. Sigh….I actually once fit into it. Have thought maybe I can take the huge rhinestone disengage and make an evening bag that I’ll also never wear.
Sister does the huge Marci Gras bit in Barcelona….she’s very talented and also gets things done….unlike myself.

Don't glue a hole in your shirt. If the hole is in the black, especially, it could easily be darned with black thread.
