Just picked up one of these on eBay for $120 new. Really happy with it, massive upgrade over my ageing GTX 980Ti and when unlocked with morepowertools and undervolted and overclocked it scores higher open GL scores than a stock RX6600XT yet uses less than 100w of power.
Bought one a few months ago and suggested it on another one of their videos, very good for the price, I can’t even get a 1660 ti in my area for that price.
I just upgraded my son’s Optiplex 7040 with the RX580 version for $89. Have been testing it everyday from 24 March with no issues. I’m just using the AMD adrenaline software to manage it and the drivers.

Word on the street: cards are from China, everything is new except the chips. Chips, similar to previous iterations (RX-580 2048 SP, 5500 XT) were actually intended for mining, i.e. although mobile they were bought to be installed into mining cards. However, 6600M came just in time when mining craze was winding down, so most of them were not used. Overall, cards are not bad, i.e. they have stock performance practically identical to 6600, maybe even better. Overclocking and undervolting could be a bit trickier, as these were mobile chips. Not a problem for average user, tho.
Can confirm about the undervolting. However, with a slight overclocked and a changing the memory frequency timing to fast does make the card run better.
For those in the Canadian market, these can be had on aliexpress for a cheap $270.. I've bought two so far, one for a budget build with a Xeon setup, and one for my sff couch pc with an R5 7600. Honestly our market is so screwed up for gpu prices, for Canadians these are worth it. 6600's here are $350 to $600 still. For us it makes sense.
I got an xfx rx6600 2nd hand slightly used only at 175$ which is a steal for me. The card still works great and have low temps. What's great about is it's power consumption is so low and max only at 100w.

The fact that companies aren't utilizing the lower power-consuming smaller form-factor physically more efficient in every perceivable way and aren't taking into account portability and next generation technology is why they constantly fight each other. To take over the market a company would have to utilize everything at it's disposal and under cut price and power consumption and over power with capability and new technology.
The RX 6600 and the I3 12100 are the kings of budget gaming builds. I built a mini ITX system with those specs and its truly impressive for the price. It runs laps around my old R7 1700x system. For $200-230 for a GPU that out performs the old $6-700 cards from a few years ago is insane. If your goal is 60FPS 1080P these budget systems are beyond acceptable.
I got a RX 590 GME on the way, I will put it into a Dell Precision 5810, all in I spend around £170 or £210 with a 5500XT in it right now, I have made a video on it.

I've got this card in my rig. It doesn't undervolt well. I did a -50mv undervolt, maybe even lower, but the power draw, at least according to AMD Adrenalin, is about the same (~100w)
@@stacylite the card is very efficient as it is, so it's almost pointless undervolting it. You may get a more consistent power draw, but that's about it. It doesn't drastically reduce it. One thing to note, enabling fast memory timing helps reduce stutter. Just don't touch the memory frequency, otherwise the clock speed reduces to something like 700mhz for some reason.

I think these are around because pretty much for cpus they can rename a low-clocked CPU that's not up to spec but in laptop, GPU places their trash if it is not up to spec and im guessing someone found out a way to repurpose them but could also be from over manufacturing of them.

When this card launched the drivers were through the maker in china. How did you get the drivers for this card? Did they work well? I think I saw this reviewed before and it was a difficult thing to watch. The reviewer did not suggest buying this card over some others.
This card? This has worked with AMD drivers since the beginning. Is Nvidia that blocks the drivers for their mobile GPUs so you have to use those china drivers.

Well actually if you are going to turn FSR on at all also let people know what you got in benchmarks and / or gameplay with it off. I recently bought a rx6400 due to the amount of times you guys have used it. But i cant seem to find any software that lets me control the fan speed. It runs extremely hot and gets there very fastl. Any suggestions?
@@24kmetal99 I did. Ive used MSI afterburner for years. I've come to the conclusion that there isn't any fan control for the rx 6400. But once reaching 80c the fan will ramp up to keep temp stable. As it turns out, 80c isn't all that hot for this card.
@@AlexHusTech unfortunately it doesn’t. Under the tuning section of the software it doesn’t have any sort of adjustment for anything. It’s strange, I agree. It seems to only be with the 6400 card, from what I’ve read online. I downloaded several fan control apps to see if I could get any of them to work to no avail.

I wanted to do one but didn't want to limit myself to a low profile card or low powered cards, so got a workstation (Dell Precision T5810), was alot easier, just had to get an adapter, I made a video on it recently, used a 5500XT, tested with a 5700XT also!

I bought a Chinese rx 580 gpu(2048 sp) and put it into a dell optiplex 5040 I bought. Everything cost around 250 dollars. It's working fine for now.

The Bros used a nice case but if you got a subpar case that doesn't have a good airflow (like most OEM pc case), this RX 6600M might be the solution.

more fps means your pc can handle it, you probably run assetto corsa without csp and its graphics tweaks thats why youre having so much fps
If you buy this card, you might want to resale it one day, and you will probably take a huge loss.
