You probably looked this up after, but arrow towers ignore defence. This combined with the Armour bug means the main tower Does 56 to 116 damage every turn even against your Angels with 30+ defence If every building in the town was built. And the secondaries are doing 28 to 55 damage. Edit: they do have every building so the damage numbers are correct.
I play this game efor 20 years and still learn something new like tower damage depends on structures. Thanks!
I thought arrow towers only ignored defense in HotA?
I knew about the buildings thing but had forgotten towers ignore defence. Here's the line on HotA, it's actually quite an interesting change:
"Damage calculation was changed to make Arrow towers more dangerous. Their innate 10 Attack points now added together with the defending hero Attack skill and increase damage properly, while still ignoring the target's Defense parameter. Archery now increase the Arrow tower damage as well. The Armorer, Air Shield and Petrification bug has been fixed, so these modificators now properly decrease the Arrow tower damage."
@@Norovo That means even without a hero the towers are doing 50% more damage, which would mean even with the Armour bug fixed your angels would be even more dead. Which seems crazy.

Man, at the end, the skipped star axis... oh well, I can understand that. But then, conquered the inferno town and didn't enter to get the spells and +1 spell power AAAARRRGH

Am I really the only one screaming "use earth elementels and the teleport on them" half the time ? each one would spawn with 56 when you have 14 power.

I´ve never believed it but Archangels are insanly strong O.o
They are indisputably the strongest Tier 7 unit in the game. They used to only cost gold in the OG release, but with the expansions they added the gem cost because they're just too good.
@@renatocorvaro6924 In the late game when heroes have huge attack and defense skills Ancient Behemoths can beat them because they ignore 80% defense. Think about heroes with 20 attack and defense. Archangels would have 30 + 20 = 50 attack and defense, but Ancient Behemoths would ignore 40 out of that 50 defense, so 50 attack and 10 defense versus 39 attack and defense. Archangels would deal extra 55% damage and Ancient Behemoths would deal 29 * 5% = 145% extra damage. 245% total damage is pretty pog of the Ancient Behemoths.
@@Hardcore_Remixer But ancient behemoth are slow, dont fly, cant resurrect and are pretty squishy. While archangels give you first mover advantage against everyone except phoenixes, have allaround amazing stats and you can even stop minor losses
@@anonvideo738 Squishy? Ancient Behemoths have 300 health. Yes, those 19 attack and defense are not that great, but not all the tier 7 units have crazy attack and defense. Also, 9 speed isn't really slow. Sure, you can't race around the map, but that's still not slow.
Also, you first said Archangels are the *strongest* tier 7 unit, not the most versatile. In terms of late game strenght, Ancient Behemoths are clearly stronger due to ignoring 80% defense.
Even if Archangels hit first ans get an extra hit, Ancient Behemoths win a late game 1v1.
@@Hardcore_Remixer I didnt say strongest, that was someone else. But I still agree with him, because 1v1 means little. Sure, behemoths win a 1v1 versus AAs, but titans can win against behemoths. Meanwhile, for everything thing else (more important than 1v1ing units) the AA is more useful.
Imagine norovo running around with 2 3stacks of behemoths, he wouldnt be able to take towns then.
Both of those battles where you lost AA's I was telling you to Rez rez REZ, then it happened "I didn't expect him to runaway", dude you bitch slapped him took out gargoyles(I have no idea why the AI loves those so much lol) and "waited for the opportune moment"...you had it on that last turn bud lol
I love how the castle towers take pity on you and start wailing at a useless ballista to compensate for armory bug xD

Yo what mods do you use? I've been going through your vids and I see so many little efficiency tweaks that I really want for my playthroughs
In this playthrough it's only HD mod, which besides looking better than official Ubisoft* HD release (which is also only base game lol), introduces some fixes and tweaks.
I recommend also using HOTA (Horn of the Abyss), which fixes a lot more and balances the game. All HOTA changes are done with extreme care and consideration to keep the feel of the game as close to the original as possible. You could say HOTA is an unofficial expansion for the game, as it comes with a new town called Cove, but it's main focus is to tweak, fix and balance the game while keeping it as 'vanilla' as possible.

why you dont prioritize income? even on your second town which isnt a part of your faction, you avoid upgrading the city income early.

46:00 for this fight definitely the winning strategy would be earth elementals + teleport. Zero angel losses, stay in town for max spell points next day.
It's just a waste of gold to hire the odd swordsman/monks. You'll never have enough gold to accumulate enough of them to make a difference until you have multiple other towns/goldmines.
32:20 can’t you Ctrl+click on individual artifacts to transfer them instantly? Very handy when you want to transfer war machines but leave the other artifacts on the other hero

Why didn't you use Earth Elemental spell when attacking the Necro town?
Drives me absolutely bonkers that he doesn't clear everything. He doesn't even check the various quests that are available...AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

This might be a dumb question but why don't you use resource silos? I get they might be expensive but when you can afford it, I think it's worth it as its essentially a mine in your town for the resource you need to recruit the tier 7 unit.

Hi there. Look, I don't get why do you upgrade more than one hero? The other ones are supposed to be mules.
loynis basicaly sucks, but the speed bonus for prayer especialy for lower tier units should be nerfed. just because you shouldnt add more speed by prayer than with haste
A Haste specialist would still be faster, to be fair
so he sucks but should be nerfed xdd
