He'd also never stay on the ground long enough for me to do any prone grapples. But the catch you did against his right hand was smooth

This is how you play King. Most people don't know how to fight King and that's why they don't mention King's name among popular characters. If they've watched this video, they've probably changed their minds.
I wouldn't want to fight any of the Tekken fighters IRL, but at least most of them will only knock me out. King basically just tries to cripple you for life and he keeps going after you passed out from the pain. He'll twist bones and joints he already broke. You'll never move the same again, after they removed the full body cast from you. That is if he doesn't leave you paralyzed. And he's canonically a really wholesome guy...
