I was a bit underwhelmed. I usually place pre-orders but I haven't this time. I logged in expecting to get the HST trainset but it is a budget version so I haven't. I am considering the steam and sound version of that lovely grey loco in front of you. I had recently pre-ordered the GNR J13 however and received a new Peckett, 'Lady Cornelia' on Saturday. That is fab.
Hello chaps. I've pre-ordered the GER-livered J15 & the RR EWS-livered 08. I know both are old tooling, but the GER livery for £125 at the retailers was too good to miss, and for £50-odd the Gronk will look fine from 3 feet clagging around the layout.
At about 24:30+ - and yes I do realise that it's Railroad, but - the 1st class Mk3 STILL fitted with standard class seating. Ist class seats align with windows!
The Beatles truly puzzling . I don’t know anyone that’s buying them and you quite frequently see them on the shelves - so not exactly flying out the door !
Great video, shame about a rather lacklustre release. They should have built on the LNER articulated coaches with the Silver Jubilee formation, hopefully since they released the coronation formation with no quality failure returns they’ll look to do them in the future. Might consider the Railway 200 javelin once the decorations are announced🤞
@@hornbymag I have visited today, the 16th Jan., the WH Smith at Charing Cross and Paddington stations - usually well stocked with model railway magazines - but, unfortunately, the staff in both stores new nothing about the 'bundle'. My frustration was amplified as the Paddington shop had both the relevant Hornby Mag. and the Hornby catalogue on the same stand but no knowledge of the 'bundle' offer.
The only things that would satisfy me from Hornby would be if they introduced a 4-COR EMU, plus dumped all those hideous under scale wagons and produced some decent ones in place of them.
Do you know if the Azuma has traction tyres ..? If so its a deal breaker as the railroad motor bogie with traction tyres is horrible , and the loco will be lightweight plastic chassis....
It doesn't matter how many Beatles wagons or locos with their faces embellished on the side, I just don't get it. Can we have the Railroad Class 08 with TXS in BR Blue please.
That's not correct about the Midland Pullman HST power cars having small yellow warning panels. These were only on a couple for a very short time and all have no warning panels now. So don't know why Hornby are doing a version that doesn't exist now on the actual power cars!
Hornby seem to be no longer concerned about their customers, I live in Canberra Australia and for the first time year of buying the railway magazine direct from Hornby no problems on time for that 12 months. Then I renewed for two years last March and things started to go wrong, delivery delays, I am still waiting for my September issue even after contacting them twice without reply and now while deliveries back on track, but still without my September issue, I find they have not included the calendar for 2025, is this a new cut back on services as neither Dec or Jan issues mentioned the calendar. I bought my first Hornby locomotive back in 1973 still have it in my spares drawer however currently quality has fallen and prices are sky rocketing this is not a good look for my British Hornby buying club members here where the motto now is A B H ( ie anything but Hornby.) I
Thinks of Hornby range this year 2025 Good Point I like we are getting a J15 in GER blue as go great with clark railworks Quad Art and with 50 years old great way to celebration the North Norfolk railway. But wish we got GER grey as well. Nice to see a new BR - Merchant Navy Class in BR blue. But I know the Wensleydale Brewery tanker is under real but good-priced tanks look way better they Dapol ones. Not for me but good range railroad model and nice to see the Bulleid Tavern Restaurant coaches a little more choice for SR fans. Bad point Not really great range four me range go down since 2019. Not really great celebrations as real having got any new SR tools steam train want came plus there was not much in the way of pre-1923 trains. Bachmann and Rapido do a lot more in the range. Plus people like new tools BR green diesel and on ways not that much there. Only really got BR green steam train most it. Should been called Br Green Steam Range. Miss a great chance to do the A4 in BR Experimental Purple with Dublo. Should do King and a3 with new tools in that livery help bring out more livers choice to come to BR steam. Plus making Terrier for 2019 will should got one in LBSCR brown. The Beatles wagon is just bad if keep doing music train should do Evis this year. As around 90 olds this year. Or could do the Queens trains from Breakthru video in 1989 at Flim at Never Valley railway this was real. Could use Railroad tools for it. Was J15 and Merchant Navy Class in BR blue and Wensleydale Brewery tanker. How I was improved the range this year. First, add both J15 in both GER blue and Grey. Plus Train pack with them two in wood box limited edition 500. With Rapido doing amazing HR ones Goods add some new coaches in HR green with the Cream using Hornby generic coaches (2021) and some GER as well. Do the Tettier in LBSCR brown and Loco Dep Brighton work in LBSCR brown. Plus Fenchurch in LBSCR Brown and Bluebell liverys both versions of Fenchurch in train pack. Have to give it a grade only get -A only 3.5
I've just ordered the GER livered J15. At £125 at the retailers, it was too good to miss, especially since they used to ply their trade on the erstwhile Waveney Valley Line that used to run through the town in which I now live. Oh, and the fact is that it's still with us at the NNR!
@@stephendavies6949 just ordered my one in GER blue. But with NNR being 50 old this year. Should got one in GER grey and special range all different it has at that NNR railway. With 20% of the money going back to NNR.

Would love some information on what is railroad about the azuma?
Does it still have head and tail lights?
Does it still have interior lighting?
The yellow patch on the Blue Pullman HST was temporary and didn't last long. I'd have preferred if Hornby had just done an all blue front version.

It looks like the staging yard on your layout needs some details added to it (bushes, low trees, junk, etc.) to give it more visual interest.
We have a plan for that!

I think this is the first time Hornby has done a 390/1 as a full 11-car? I was so frustrated that the Pride 390/1 was only done as a 9-car...
Nice to see the nameplates on Lady of Legend are the correct scale measurements.......unlike the real loco where the plates are dreadful.
