try using a color corrector! blue if they’re too orange, and orange/peach/pink if it’s too cool toned!! they don’t change the formula at all! i love using them because the foundations i use i found on sale ($45 for $18). the formula is amazing but it’s too orange because i thought i had a neutral undertone. when i realized i actually have a warm undertone i missed the sale. so color correcting PIGMENTS are great! they save all those foundations you bought & loved the formula off but couldn’t find the proper undertone for

Yeah so a girl at Sephora recommended the One Size makeup setting spray to me and I cannot believe ANYONE could use it. It might work but Omg it’s soooo heavily perfumed it made me feel sick after using it. It legit was like spraying hairspray directly onto my face. I tried it twice and had to say nah

i hate having a neutral undertone sometimes! even though my skin is on the lighter end of the spectrum, everything makes me look so yellow 😭 none of the foundations i see people rave about have good neutrals. i have to set everything with a pink powder (which btw i would love to see you try!!)
I have the same problem too... But hear me out, (this is what I do) use a concealer that has pink undertone,, this really helps take away the yellow of the foundation.. hope it helps bestie 😘😘
I find it's even harder at the paler end of the spectrum! They assume everyone is cool toned. I am warm toned, even when pale, so everything looks too pink on me. Drug stores don't sell my winter shade, but Korean foundations I buy online are the perfect shade. You should try!

i am super pale but with an odd undertone and the only thing i could find after testing everything in the ulta store was the makeup revolution conceal and hydrate, everything else was wayyyyy too orange or pink. us pale girls suffer too 😭 foundation formulas need a total reformulation in terms of tone in my opinion

i have the same issue as a brown girl, but adding pinks or purples depending on how cool your skin is always does the trick, i just wish they would actually make shades that already had them mixed in but ig we can color correct and protest until they do
I have very light cool/neutral skin and undertones (in Sweden, which is even more ridiculous) have been a nightmare up until a couple of weeks ago. Everything's been warm, and mostly in the sort of mid range. The light and dark shades have often been a joke, the light ones have gotten much better, fit me and true match changed that, but the dark shades are still so bad. There's no excuse, they've gotta do better.

I wanted to try this foundation cause I love the finish but that scent was too much for me. I have neutral/olive undertones and it is hard finding the right shade. So far, the only two I’ve found to match me are the Pat McGrath Sublime Perfection and the Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation.
i’ve seen a bunch of influencers go to their local like drug store or whatever and buy a foundation that’s close to their shade but buy i think it’s yellow and blue and maybe white so they can make it a different hue to match their skin
I would suggest mixing different foundations While it may not be ideal to have to do it’ll help with matching try this on same brand items though don’t mix reckon with Gucci or Mac with Nars. If you’re using Mac mix with other Mac shades. I’ve tried it a couple times and it worked out, also I’m no where near a makeup expert I just like to play in it. 🤷🏽♂️

Try mixing the foundation with a hydrating moisturizer at the back of your hand (after prepping the skin ofc with a hydrating toner/ moisturizer) and using a beauty blender to dab. I have dry skin too and found that this helps prevent the patchy dry foundation, and it gives a natural dewy finish too.

I love this foundation because of the color match but this highlights all my fine lines, patches, pores, spots which I didn’t even know existed. However I didn’t give up. I prep my skin really well and mixed this with serum and used a brush to apply so now it’s looks good.
Would a cool foundation work better? Your undertones look more on the cool side so it could work If not you could try mixing a warm and a cool foundation together, they should balance each other out. Just add one to the other bit by bit until you get the best result and write down the measurements

I don't know if you are a neutral, might be a little bit cool toned. The foundation seems to be warmer in areas like your forehead ,apples of your cheeks, and undereyes cause of the redness you have on your skin already and it's making your jawline and lower jaw look like and different shade completely.
Girls if ya'll are struggling with foundations being too yellow/ orangish , la girl has a blue Foundation pigment. Just mix couple drops of it with the Foundation you have and voila You'll have a neutral toned Foundation. It can work with any yellow/ orange Foundation
I struggle finding my shade too so I end up sticking with stuff that’s not full coverage. I am very pale and also very pink in some odd parts of my face so sometimes foundation can look really crappy since this also happens around my neck and my arms a little where there tiny little pink spots and I can never find one that’s an in between because they are either too dark for my normal skin tone or too orangish. Makeup brands can have good normal range but don’t have good stuff for people with super light & super dark skin. I did find one that was good for me and it was from Fenty. I understand how you struggle with some makeup stuff even if it’s in a different way
And no it’s not a skin condition, but I always say it’s because I have red head genes. I don’t know what it is though, all I know is that it’s not a skin condition

You may have olive undertones if neutral foundations don't work either. Try mixing a green pigment with your foundation and see if it helps!

I really like the scent tbh, its strong but most foundations smell either of nothing or kinda nasty so it was a nice change

Have u tried olive foundation? Neutrals sometimes are a bit of cool and bit if warm which can be orangey or peachy on more muted skin tones.
unfortunately, foundation lines that can’t even formulate a good neutral aren’t going to have an olive option.

Guys if you can’t find your shade, simply get small bottle of blue and I think red foundation to mix in, it’s been a popular fix these days too.
