Juncker shows humorous side as EU fails to find replacement

- European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker caused some laughs after 28 EU leaders failed to reach agreement on who should take on the bloc's top jobs. "I note with some pleasure that it is not easy to replace me," Juncker told journalists at a press conference which had some lighter moments. Juncker’s term as the Commission chief expires at the end of October.

They are still our leaders, EU leaders, we haven't left yet and I hope we will not. We are not the only country in the EU who's leaders are clowns though, there are many others.
Maybe if they had shown this side of themselves more often, relations between countries and those in high positions and the people may have been better.

Nice to see that since 2012 they've gone from only 1 candidate to none.
They had 5 candidates but non of their parties reached a majority or a big enough coalition. So now its up to the member countries to nominate people from their own ranks for commission president.

He must have some qualities. Under his rule Luxemburg became one of the richest countries in the world and by far the richest country in the EU.
Considering UK is one of the highest contributers to the EU there isn't anyone from the UK in a top job Tusk is polish and Poland pay less into the EU than they take out yet he as a top well paid job .
