the way i see it no one can control whom they love and no one has the power to judge them if both sides are consensual. Only God himself can speak for them. And more importantly this is a tv show with an amazing romantic story. I love it!
Oh, this song always gives me the feels... and with Cesare/Lucrezia- there are plenty of them! I'm an emotional wreck again but the video is very beautiful and gracious and I love the coloring... and the voiceovers complete the experience! ~
omg, this is stunning. I love so much about it; the song, the coloring and just the pace of it overall I guess but oh, I reeally love how Cesare's line about it being in the past overlaps with Lucrezia crying. I found that really powerful.

Just watched this whole show, and I loved it, but the ending was soo bad. Here is the ending as I see it: Cesare takes his sister out of the villa, and they move to another country; there they change their names and get married. But this is after they fake their deaths so their father Pope Alexander won't wonder where they escaped to. Paolo's son is raised alongside his mother's other children with her new husband. The End... The impression I got from this relationship was that they were twin souls who had the misfortune of being born related. I honestly rooted for them to succeed as a couple, because of how compatible they were. Even coming down off of the high of the 'in love' state Cesare and Lucrezia would have lasted as a couple were they not related.
u know when cesare says "what happened before what all but happened again last night" is he saying they slept together twice or does he just mean because she was looking at him when she consumated her marriage to alfonso?
Actually, even marriage between sister and brother was the norm for a very long time...it was only stopped because science figured out that having children with people too closely related such as brother/sister/first cousins can cause a child to be deformed. Before that no one had any objection to it.
