In the belated wake of some idiot's negative comment, I just wanted to let you know that your video gave me the incentive to watch The Borgias a year or so ago. I've been obsessed and utterly infatuated ever since. This video still stands as one of my favorite Cesare/Lucrezia ones too in fact.
Beautiful, splendid, OMG, I am so glad for people like you who are capable of creating and giving us-at least for now-such a wonderful feeling. It overwhelms, the music is just perfect+I love Cesare and Lucrezia being happy together. Naive? Maybe, concerning my age and historical accuracy, but I do not mind. These actors together are like a blessing-so rare, but it happens. Thank you!
Jesus Christ, this is beyond perfect! The coloring looks stunning, I loooove the song so much and it's perfect for them and every clips you chose are.. this is too beautiful for words!
While I totally agree that incest is repugnant, one has to realize that in medieval times - and long before - relations & marriages between siblings, cousins, etc. was quite common. Check your history books and your bibles. Even though it was intimated in this series that the society of the 1500's would frown upon such a relationship, it wasn't considered totally taboo. If one takes into account the historical & societal conventions of those times, it's understandable why anyone viewing this today could overlook any present-day opinions & feelings on the "incest" aspect. Viewing this series through objective, historical-societal eyes, one then could not deny the electricity generated between the characters of Cesare & Lucrezia & the actors portraying them. In spite of the over-the-top hammy acting of Jeffrey Irons, they were what made this series riveting.
I could have gone my whole life without knowing people 'shipped this couple. I personally find incest detestable, and I say that as an atheist who does not derive morality from any archaic and utterly despicable religious institution.I really must wonder if most people who get off on incest fetishes have siblings of their own. Also you're watching the lesser version of the show. Find the Canal+ version and watch that. I enjoy Canal's depictions of the time of the Borgias because it shows just how absolute the corruption of the Catholic Church was, not to mention the splendid acting and storytelling.
you are wrong Dwarven.. I have a brother. hes a total ass and I would sooner kill him that touch him! however if he looked like Cesare.... I mean they are such a 'fairytale' couple didnt you ready fairytales as a kid??? I would have imagined a fairytale prince and princess to look well..like those two..

There's lots of Borgia (Canal+) videos you could watch. I've watched all of Borgia by now and I still like The Borgias better simply because I like the actors and their chemistry better, but Borgia is a really good show, too. I just have my preferences and so do you, obviously. What's the point of arguing?
Dwarven Thane Its because their love was so strong, so raw and so pure. Their love is legendary and lots of people would wish for a love like that. Cesare loved Lucrezia and would die for her. Lucrezia would gladly do anything for him.
no offence but this version sucks alot, the European version of Borgia faith and fear are waaay better in every sense, cesare and lucrezia look just like the original characters. They nailed it in finding actors to look just like the characters in real life. That show feels more....realistic.

Dwarves Thane I believe that the incestuous relationship features largely in Borgia . In fact the scenes in the Canal + version have more nudity.
