@Jem Yuson Tan - I know! I've been continually torn between the 2 vids, but I believe that overall this is the better one for showing that amazing choreography as well. Off The Deep End films more to the side at an angle and you don't get to see all of Jimin's amazing dancing which is filmed front and center at the best angle with the one from midnight_show. But of course you don't get those wonderful close ups of Jimin's amazing face. Also the Off the Deep says Do Not Repost. Does that mean not to react to it? I'm not sure? At this point I just want this performance to be seen whatever vid is used! Lol!! For some reason though all the ones from the dvd's have been all removed by BigHit & YT. Which is so disheartening, since do many will never get to see the performance or all those awesome reactions with everyone in disbelief of what they just saw. Especially since Jimin's LIE so often does not get as many likes as all the other BTS member that are requested to be reacted to. Maybe many aren't even aware of this performance anymore? and it doesn't help that it keeps getting deleted after it's finally reacted to.
This song is so special for ARMY and BTS. It was released in a time where BTS got extremely much hate, and this song was written to ARMY to comfort us as we struggled very much as we had to watch and read all those awful mean things people wrote/said about BTS without being able to do much. All that hate was usually for stupid things, things like other groups do or have done without a problem, but just because BTS did it, it was bad. BTS and ARMY have always gotten much hate, and ARMY`s all over the world was hurting so much at the time because we know BTS could see all the mean things the public said about them. So when this released back in 2016, 10 October, it was a HUGE comfort for ARMY. The live stage was before the ARMY Bomb`s colors could be controlled, just so you know;)

This is a good idea for the live performances that don't have English subtitles but I must let you know that knowing what they're singing about while performing enhances the performance bringing it so much more meaning especially since the dance is choreographed with the lyrics in mind! It will also help you better understand why BTS gets so passionate & emotional while singing certain verses because they mean everything they're singing about. I also must warn you that so often the color coded English lyric vids are incorrect in translation also not always showing the correct person singing as well. I really hope you do get to see done of the absolutely amazing performances from BTS 2015 HYYH Concert performances which, not only all gave English subtitles on screen that are absolutely accurate in translation, but had some of their best performances with their best most iconic songs that meant so much to army.
We gotta remember that the song was released when BTS was under a lot of struggles, with false rumours and hatred. The ARMY back then was actively engaged in internet conversations to explain, clarify and spread love to protect BTS. On the other hand, though BTS was the one being hurt, their first reaction was to comfort ARMY instead, encouraging we all to hold hand and let go of the bad. This was the intimacy between BTS and Army that I was talking about when I asked you, along with others, to react to purple ocean. You not only see them closing their eyes because all they want to do is listen to their precious Army singing the Song that without Army wouldn't have happened (since BTS couldn't have made it to the top alone) you can also see them take off their earpieces. The earpieces are there to block out the noise from the Fans so the artist can concertrate on their Performance. Army and BTS were one from the very moment they started to sing together. Personally, it makes me want to roll up and cry at the thought that BTS practically stopped performing at the end and swapped roles with Army. Now they were appreciating OUR singing. This video really comforts me whenever I feel alone and sad, it feels like I'm geniuinly loved and like I was there singing along even though I wasn't. This is the hardest song that I have to listen to coming out of the 2015-2017 debacle BTS and ARMY have had to go through. I’m already in my 20s that have gone thru some tough shizz in my life but even I cried out of anger and frustration over what we had to deal with just so we can support BTS and just for the boys to be where they belong, and that is creating music and performing on that stage and changing the world. New ones yall can only imagine how hard it was. There were physical abuse involved and harassment most especially for K-ARMYs. It was a tough time and the boys... thru this song... had to be honest that they couldn’t promise us all good days because of the constant hate, but that we’ll continue to be together as long as we hold each others hand. It made all the sleepless nights and constant promotion and the hard work to buy their stuff worth it. That time they didn’t think that they’d make it because of the hate and let down, and some of the guys were already getting depressed. But we all persevered because we have each others backs. This is why BTS x ARMY bond is strong, because we’ve been with each other thru the toughest of times and they’ve been with ours thru our most darkest. I hope this bond continues for a long time. For a little background on why the boys were surprised by the purple colored ARMY bombs was during this time, the version of the it didn't have other color options except for white and it didn't have a bluetooth option as well. The K-ARMY wanted to express their support and well-wishes to the boys by using the color purple to express the thought of "let's only walk on flowered paths from now on", conveying their wishes and hopes that the boys won't go through hard times anymore. They did this by putting a purple plastic over their ARMY bombs. This was also the moment when the purple color became significant to BTS and ARMY.

Personally, it makes me want to roll up and cry at the thought that BTS practically stopped performing at the end and swapped roles with Army. Now they were appreciating OUR singing. This video really comforts me whenever I feel alone and sad, it feels like I'm geniuinly loved and like I was there singing along even though I wasn't. They really are important to Me and the rest of Army and help us through so many hardships, thanks to their music I almost forgot what it feels like to be alone and to cry myself to sleep because I only need to put on headphones and listen to them (even if I haven't had the Chance to attend one of their concerts yet ) . Some may call us crazed fans or toxic but at the end of the day Army just really loves BTS and obviously it's the same the other way

This is the first song of bts that i heard..my bestfriend introduce me to this song when i going depressed stage when my daughter passed away..this song save me from commit suicide..and this song will be my queen forever..since then i stan bts..they literally saved my life..

2!3! has a very deep history among older armys. yoongi verse says it all. its some of the haters comments among them. going thru a lot remember the video bout bts hardships it talked bout the various hashtags,scandals and accusations they endure bts and armys during that time its heartbreaking. i am not an older army and i admire their hearts going through it all and because bts knows that its not just them that got hurt among the haters doing but most importantly their fans that constantly depending them that is why they made this song to ensure the feelings of armys. its a pledge of faith. its my first time knowing an artist making a song that truly speaks of the artist heart for their fans feelings. that’swhy bts can’t be duplicated. they are unique in artist x fan relationship. they literally make you feel a friend not a fan that you can count on.

I still cry whenever i hear 2!3! It’s a song to comfort Armys after all the hardships, accusations, criticisms they knew we were suffering with them but what’s more emotional abt it was the fact that they made this to comfort us instead of comforting themselves. This song was made for ARMY cause BTS saw much we stressed over social media to protect them from seeing bad things (although we didn’t know BTS probably saw it all). BTS is telling us that we’ll all be okay cause we have each other and to let go of the past. 😊. This is the hardest song that I have to listen to coming out of the 2015-2017 debacle BTS and ARMY have had to go through. I’m already in my 20s that have gone thru some tough shizz in my life but even I cried out of anger and frustration over what we had to deal with just so we can support BTS and just for the boys to be where they belong, and that is creating music and performing on that stage and changing the world. New ones yall can only imagine how hard it was. There were physical abuse involved and harassment most especially for K-ARMYs. It was a tough time and the boys... thru this song... had to be honest that they couldn’t promise us all good days because of the constant hate, but that we’ll continue to be together as long as we hold each others hand. It made all the sleepless nights and constant promotion and the hard work to buy their stuff worth it. That time they didn’t think that they’d make it because of the hate and let down, and some of the guys were already getting depressed. But we all persevered because we have each others backs. This is why BTS x ARMY bond is strong, because we’ve been with each other thru the toughest of times and they’ve been with ours thru our most darkest. I hope this bond continues for a long time. Just so you guys know, this is in 2016. At that time the army bomb couldn't change colour. It's the first version. It only blink white colour light. So the army there prepared an event where they covered all their army bombs with purple plastic bag. I think from this where it comes the inspiration to have an upgraded version of the army bomb, it can change into any colour you could ever think of 😊💜

I don't know how many times I did watched this clip but it always tears me up.
For a little background on why the boys were surprised by the purple colored ARMY bombs was during this time, the version of the it didn't have other color options except for white and it didn't have a bluetooth option as well. The K-ARMY wanted to express their support and well-wishes to the boys by using the color purple to express the thought of "let's only walk on flowered paths from now on", conveying their wishes and hopes that the boys won't go through hard times anymore. They did this by putting a purple plastic over their ARMY bombs. This was also the moment when the purple color became significant to BTS and ARMY.
