No matter what kind of endeavor you choose, there will always be someone smarter, richer, better, more advanced, more experienced who’s “ahead” of you. So what? That’s actually great. We can learn from their successes and their mistakes as we create our own experiences.
This is because you frame your circumstance in the context of an opportunity to pursue, in contrast of the self-defeat of “it’s too late, I’m behind everybody else.”
You don’t get to choose your circumstance but you get to choose the perspective through which you frame it. Choose opportunity, not defeat.
The hell with others, because comparing yourself to others won’t help. Give yourself permission to ignore comparisons. It’s called focus.
