I ordered a Lenormand deck last week, and while I've been waiting for it to arrive, I made some flash cards to help me memorize the cards and their numbers. I also made a deck (cut and paste from the internet), and I've been doing the spreads along with you. I got some pretty good readings so far. Thank you so much for the handouts; they are so helpful.

I really like how you explained why a card reads one way or another because you create new sentences. They're like homophones, "spelled (interpreted)" differently depending on their use in a sentence....there. :)

Thanks Kelly! One breakthrough for me was realizing, finally, that when you mention the "anchor card" it isn't abstract, but actually IS the actually anchor card.

I do find that people who go from Tarot to Lenormand often have a bit of a bump to get over, but it definitely can be gotten over! :)

In the 2nd example with the 4 cards before the anchor and 4 cards before... what happens if there isnt enough cards in front or after? What if it's the first or the last card also?

What if in front of the anchor there were no cards or only 2?
Kelly, I love your channel and can't wait to start my own. Do you find that reading Lenormand has made you a better reader of tarot AND would you ever try this kind of thing with tarot. I mean search through the deck for the crux of the issue and pick cards on either side OR do you feel keeping the two traditions more separate is better? Sadhana
I actually started out reading my tarot spreads in a lenormand fashion before I even knew that was a completely different system! They can totally go together and have given me some seriously profound readings for personal development :)

By The Way Kelly, I Also Adore The Way You Shuffle The Cards! I've Always Shuffled Them The Other Way (Lateral Shuffling Also Known As The European Shuffle) or Just "Poker-Shuffled" Them But As You Know I'm Sure, Poker Shuffling Lenormand Cards Ruins Them, Especially With Just 36 Cards But I've Also Poker Shuffled My Tarot Cards And They Eventually End Up Looking Like Crap Too (lol) So With My Lenormand Decks, I Tend To Lateral Shuffle Those But If They're A Strong Stock of Lenormand Cards, Like The Egyptian Lenormand, Then I've Poker-shuffled Them A Little Too Much! Anyhoo, Just Wanted To Tell You That I Like Your Shuffle, I Even Tried It Myself But It's A Little New To Me, So A Lot of The Cards Ended Up Falling On The Floor LOL! :-)

I always learn so much from your videos. In the Anchor spread, what happens if the card appears and there less than 4 cards following the anchor or before?
This is one of the "downsides" for this type of pulling but I just lay as I get... so I just lay them and leave the blank spots where they are and I take that as a message... for example if there aren't 4 before, then that important corner card will be missing and that lets me know that over all energy is in more flux then normal... if it's the 4 cards after then there is a missing piece in the future column--things are in even more flux then normal moving forward :) I hope that helps!

So if I was to do a health reading would I look for the tree to put in the middle? And if I was to do a general reading on myself would I look for the woman to put in the middle?
Yes and yes :)
Something I have struggled with in the card placement is how you described the corner cards, that ie the garden is In the future but when read with the opposite corner card the clouds it can be read in a completely different way than it had in the future line. This is why I really value and appreciate you doing these videos as you can read something in a book till you are blue in the face but when you actually watch it being done, the penny can all of a sudden drop!
Lori Edwards You make a very good point and I think that it is one that can hang up a lot of people, the cards are in flux, so to speak, depending on what context and in what intention you are reading them in and that is particularly apparent when you start working with a Grand Tableau! ~Kelly
Do you think the Clouds and the Garden could be interpreted as having difficulty with networking? Especially since it's a work-related reading.
Brenda M. Definitely so :) For this particular reading the greater social isolation is definitely a major component as was keyed on but that component definitely translates into having a hard time networking for a job--great observation!

Oh that is a good question, I do that as well and it's quite similar as I do a Lenormand reading first and then pull in the Tarot to get underneath to the feelings and emotions and then an oracle as a last affirmation. I am happy to do a video doing that if it will help :) -Kelly

That’s not how you read Lenormand.. you are tarotizing it.. the snake card is not shedding his skin and lenormand cards are ALWAYS read in pairs, never on their own...
shedding or not still is a snake ..... not a good card
