I’ve stayed in many All inclusive resorts . The first thing I do when I leave the resort is I take my wallet & phone with me . I even go in the pool with my wallet & phone . It’s a special case for your wallet & phone they won’t get wet
You should be able to trust the hotel staff and safe. Regardless. Its inclusive, why should you have to bring your wallet with you?
Wow! Sorry that happened to you. A group of us are arriving on Dec. 26th. I will make sure that we all bring suitcase locks to keep our belongings looked up when we leave the room. I never use the safe.

It was not easy! 4 delays and 2 gate changes to get to Jamaica! I think they enjoy being rated #1 worse airline..lol

When you start to narrow your search, make sure to ask if their beach is rocky and there isn't any special access requirements

Dude I was at this resort last year. I never had anything stolen from me, thank God however it was two females I would see each day that was trying to get me to come to that meeting thing u went to just to get me to come back etc. I never went because I didn't come there to be in a return trip meeting. I honestly can see them stealing which is sad because all of this will make folks never come back. The resort was nice and awesome but I understand how u feel. Any updates on getting your money back that was stolen.
Yeah, they were very pushy. My bank is awesome. After they got over wanting a police report, they were awesome. The PIA has been adding the new cards to pay bills on different apps now! Like I said, 46 countries and this happened in the one time I tried to be safe. lol Going back to winging it!

Exactly... like I said, this hasn't happened to me in any other country. I normally travel with GoPro's, a drone and a $3k laptop, that I have left out and never once had an issue. I normally do not leave my wallet because I do not generally vacation at beach resorts.
I never leave any cards in any safe at a resort ... when I leave, my money (cards) comes with me ... I stayed here back in 2022. Had a good time. Only complaint - the cleaniness of the maid staff. heard it was worst prior to my arrival, but it was nice.
I had never been to an inclusive resort before - let alone a beach resort - so it was either leave in the room, or leave under a towel at the beach or the pool. Catch 22 situation.
So sorry this happened to you. I wonder if I can just add my credit cards to Google Pay or if I need a physical card. Thank you for your review.
Honestly, the only time you need your card is if you go to a shop... I think I paid cash to tip etc. I would highly recommend getting a lock box with key, and then put that into the safe.
I am looking at the beach pictures... I dont see any rocks ... seems ok... not sure what you are describing... Is there a nice part where you can swim? Is it the clothing optional side?
The rocks are right under the water line. You can't walk out there like you could on any other sandy beach. There is no section for clothing optional. This resort had 3 areas.. family side beach... VIP Member Only beach (that had no rocks).. and the adult only side beach that has rocks and holes).

Yeah... granted I usually never put anything in the safe because I normally am not wearing a swim suit all weekend... no room in the speedo for a wallet! haha!!

Hey... food was awesome. The beach was ridiculous, the sand was hard and as soon as you get into the water, 3 steps in... you are falling in holes or on top of rocks. I was out there for about 3 hours an no one was able to just walk in like if you were in Florida. I think the best way to get into the water is to go over to the privilege area and walk in. During the tour, they even mention how they removed the rocks on that side. I did not have the privilege service.
Not the part of Jamaica for the beach, that's Negril. Sorry about your situation. I think it's the time share people that jacked your information

Hi.. I completely understand. When you are looking at reviews of places to stay, change the filters so that the one stars are on top. Then check when they were left. If over 6 months with no bad reviews - they may have found that bad staff member. Also, the beach here was miserable. Hard sand. Good luck and enjoy your vacation!!

That is crazy!! If you do a reverse review, start from the worst... man.. this is a common theme all over the island.
I am sorry that happened to you. However, WHY would YOU leave your credit Cards(or other valuables) in the hotel room safe????
Rule#1...NEVER trust hotel room safes. WHY??? Because the hotel staff ALWAYS have access to the safe with a MASTER CODE.
That was absolutely the WORSE thing that you could ever do.
I travel internationally myself and I would NEVER use hotel safes. Also, I find it APPALLING that just because you had this bad experience at ONE HOTEL; you would trash Jamaica like you have. Crimes like this CAN and DOES occur in the USA....even the state of Georgia. It would have been nice to see some videos of your actual visit rather than trashing Jamaica like you have😉😉😉
As much as I love your "blame the victim" mentality, I think you may need to go rewatch the video. Listen to what I say, not what you hear.
Also, they made a big deal about safety. Room safety, resort safety, personal safety, etc.
I am in the airport in Serbia as we speak. Last week, I was in Istanbul, and I left my wallet, cash, passport, and cards on the make-up desk. Never touched. 47 countries and about the same amount of States... 1st time.
Also, this was a series on the resort, not about Jamaica.

Again, I mean no disrespect to you🙏.
However, making a habit of leaving your
valuables UNSECURED and out in clear view in your accommodations like that is NOT very bright.
Also, I have WATCHED your ENTIRE video; and UNDERSTOOD EXACTLY what was said. I can also "read-between-the lines" by what was said. I also have traveled domestically and INTERNATIONALLY. I also know(by COMMON SENSE) that you NEVER leave any valuables UNSECURED in my accommodations.
Again, I am sorry for your negative experience.
You are an adult. However, it would be wise to refrain from placing the blame on the country or a "certain group" of people(😉😉😉😉) for your mishap. Did you take the time to visit Montego Bay on an excursion? Or did you just stay on the resort. Meeting the locals in the surrounding communities would have made a difference. I am certain you were able to do that in SERBIA and ISTANBUL 😡😡

I am sorry this happened to you and I am glad that you are letting people know what happened to you.We went to Jamaica years ago while on a cruise we went just a little off of the path back to our bus trying to buy some water,and we were surrounded by locals pressing against us and felt very unsafe we would not go back.
You should stay home. You know, where it’s “safe.” Good luck with that.

@kenstowell2286 My wife went to the USA and was robbed at gun point!! Is America a sh-hole?... furthermore, up to this very day, our kids and I are dealing with the trauma phase she's going through!

because robberies don't happen anywhere else, right? europe is well known for pick-pockets. what about any large city in the US?! the majority of jamaicans are wonderful and hospitable people! just returned from Sandals Negril and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, he got hustled... 1) NEVER EVER go to the timeshare spiel. No. I'm all set. I'm all good. Walk away. 2) NEVER BRING VALUABLES ON VACATION. I always leave my wedding ring at home. The wonderful thing about credit cards, is you're protected. I do usually bring cash but have never had it touched and I feel it's because the workers assume you will notice before leaving.
Yeah, I wouldn't ask him that - cause his answer would be yes. Robbed at gunpoint, where was she? Someplace she probably shouldn't have been is the answer. It is not normal nowadays.
I have been to 46 countries and 44 or 45 States, and this is the legit the first time. If you are that paranoid, are you really relaxed and having a good time? The 100% reason why I agreed is because she said she gets a bonus for everyone she gets to go... I didn't think it was a Ralph Lauren shirt - haha. The person bought all together 40 something things from Ralph Lauren and other stuff. In order to do that, there has to be people willing to manually enter credit card numbers with no ID. Criminals. I travel very light. The most expensive things I travel with are my drone, gopros and my phone. TH-camr life. :D
