Next time wo ticket bhi kyon laga jab use pata hai ki wo thode paise TTE ko khilakar aaram se sleeper me travel kar sakta hai. Jab general mein jagah hoti hai ye bina ticket wale shayad hein reservation coaches mein chadhne ki galti karte hain. Railways ko general aur sleeper coaches ki sankhya badhane ki zaroorat hai, saath hein unhe fine ko bhi badha kar fare ka 10 times, ya 25 dande ki saza tai kar deni chahiye. Agar ise implement kar liya to ek mahine ke andar is samasya se desh ko mukti mil jaayegi.

Profit calculate karne ke lie you have only considered Ticket price, you should also consider associated costs like Food & Catering charges, AC usage charges and other misc charges. This will definitely change the result of your hypothesis.

It's actually 3rd AC and not 2nd. What you failed to consider is the fact that 3rd AC coaches are always 1 more than 2nd AC. For eg, if a particular train has A1 and A2 coach, it will usually have B1, B2 and B3. Hence, they earn more from the 3rd AC.
But in any superfast/express train among 10 AC coaches almost 7 are AC 3 tier , 2 are AC 2 tier and 1 first class... So from AC 3 tier railways earns most..
