    I agree with your defense of talking too much. I am here just as much for your input on the cocktails as for the cocktails themselves.

      Plus half the measure of a good bartender is their talking skills and personality. Come for the drinks, stay for the bartender.

      I mean it is more of a conflict issue right... he tries to create a serious atmosphere and goes on in conversation mode... as a very experienced consumer of content (I don't care much for the "too much talking" though I do find it boring. that is my sole qualification so feel free to laugh at the fact that I am telling a person with 166k subs what to do), if he adds one silly physical object to the set or his attire... it will be superbly easy for almost all to hear him talk. Simple clothes, white set, it is too boring and school-like and some people start expecting a serious quick tone, maybe add a multicolored skill necklace... or put one on top of the books. Then again, he seems to be focusing on members mostly now and normal subs don't mean as much so I am pulling away from his content...

    • @g0mikese
      @g0mikese 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Bawrabawla As a member I can tell you that he's talking about the memberships, but we don't have access to tons more than non-members. There's a bit going on, with room for more, but I don't expect the main channel content to change. All that said I do agree that the current "set" as it stands is flat, and I can see how that sends the wrong message.

    • @Bawrabawla
      @Bawrabawla 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@g0mikese @Greg M From where I stand all the callouts make me feel like I am no longer the target consumer of this channel anymore. I have never appreciated the "rest is now hidden behind a paywall" strategy of marketing exclusives they use (with recent banter etc). With that said, I am but one person in the sea of many and others might feel differently, it may be just my pathetic FOMO triggering lol.
      As the exclusives for members are more established I and he balances the callouts I might stop feeling that way. After-all he is a good person (and rest of the team is likely good people too), I expect him to keep his integrity and balance things out the best he can for himself and the consumers of the content. If the balanced strategy ends up being a members focused strategy so be it.
      And yeah, I think a ridiculous "ornament" will i think change expectations a lot.

    I'll never understand the people who think a host talking too much is a bad thing. Honestly, it's a video you didn't pay to watch. You can jump to any point in the video. I personally like the convo. There's something very chill about feeling like you're in the room with someone. Like chatting with an old friend. Especially in these dark times.

    I don't think you talk too much at all, everything you say has been very inspiring, and you give your viewers complete detail about the drink! Heritage/history is one of the aspects makes the drink special. It's like Mercedes, they're famed for their nostalgia. Same with cocktails, they have a history which makes them unique.
    Btw, thank you so much for inspiring me!

    I'm in the middle of buying a new house right now, so of course I'm looking at the finished basement and thinking about where I can add a bar, running water for a sink, and hooking up a mini fridge. It's fun to think about but will sadly wait a few years.

    Try the caramelized banana and before you caramelize it, give the banana a few sprays with angostura in a atomizer. It is amazing! I use this as a garnish for the banana daiquiri 653 which is my favorite version of a banana daiquiri

    Throw all the trolls in that blender! I like the talking. I just made this recipe but I only had the Tempus Fugit banana liqueur on-hand. It was outstanding. The only thing I would change next time is to up the lime juice just a tad, but that could be because of my liqueur change. I wanted just a tiny bit more citrus.

    That's frozen banana daiquiri, if you use blender and in the drink is something like wet snow - it's frozen daiquiri by definition.
    Daiquiri is basically sour and should be the same consistency like all sours, it does not metter, if you use banana or berry's, shake and stir the dam drink.

    I can't speak for anybody else, but the issue isn't that you talk too much. The information you provide is critical, and has helped me tremendously. But the banter with your producer is often times very unnecessary, and you don't need to shade other TH-cam channels... ever. It comes across as petty.
    The detail that you provide, the "sippy poo" and the personal anecdotes... that's awesome. That's why we're here.
    But if you forget a tool, and then explain why you forgot the tool, and then get into an argument with Marius, which then gets you on your high horse for 2 minutes... yeah, folks are going to comment about the excessive talking.

    BTW, you absolutely do NOT talk too much. I'd be interested in you talking more truth be told. But, definitely don't talk less IMHO.

    Sometimes I have to fast forward in your videos. I just don't have the time to listen to every little thing you have to say while you stand there looking at the camera. Don't change how you do your channel though dude. Stay with your style.

    Peeling bananas would be a lot easier if you start at the other end.

    It's really my fault that I clicked on a 7 minutes long video of banana daquiri. I can't complain about the talking.
