Sorry I'm late to this one by the way (if you happened to see that post I made back in November), I was going back and forth on whether or not I actually wanted to finish this.

The difference between Frontiers and other sonic games is that in other games you need Super Sonic to DESTROY your enemies. In frontiers, you need Super Sonic to stand a CHANCE
And it’s surprising how true it is. Most Sonic games have Super Sonic against the final boss. And even when unlock it on regular stages, he can destroy everything with ease
Frontiers made it clear the Titans outclass Sonic in every regard. Making the Super Sonic fights even more intense since you are fighting something beyond you. It makes The End more thematic since you have rely on something is beyond the power of Super Sonic.

I got the feeling that every boss was on a Final Boss level for Sonic.
But, as soon as Sonic transforms? I don't think he's struggling in the fights. The First time he Transforms against Giganto? It's pretty clear Sonic was in COMPLETE control of the battle.
It reminded me a bit of Goku vs Cooler. You had this enemy that completely overpowered Goku, and then he transformed and it was a complete 180. Cooler was quickly wiped.
That's how it felt for me at least. Sonic got slapped down, then came back and said: "Now you're done"
