I got the feeling that every boss was on a Final Boss level for Sonic. But, as soon as Sonic transforms? I don't think he's struggling in the fights. The First time he Transforms against Giganto? It's pretty clear Sonic was in COMPLETE control of the battle. It reminded me a bit of Goku vs Cooler. You had this enemy that completely overpowered Goku, and then he transformed and it was a complete 180. Cooler was quickly wiped. That's how it felt for me at least. Sonic got slapped down, then came back and said: "Now you're done"
