I’ve been living abroad for more than 2 decades. Your advice is prescient. My advice for new PR immigrants is use the first 3 years to invest in highly sought after skills that will boost your long term income. It might mean going back to university, enrolling in some course etc. It doesn’t matter what you studied or did back home. Survival in western economies is about always reinventing yourself through upskilling. Your education and work w perform back home is what gets you into Canada. Gaining further skills and education in Canada is what will help you thrive
Thank you for this video. Most of our naija friends do not understand that as much as we earn in dollars, we spend in dollars because our bills are in dollars. It's not easy, walahi. The more money you have sef, the more bills you pay.
I don't know about car insurance in Canada, but in the uk, it is recommended that you do not stick to the same insurance company all the time. You are advised to do a market survey via a comparison website and then either ask your present insurers to match the price you see or you move to another insurers. It usually never pays to stick to the same insurance companies for too long. They tend to take advantage of their existing customers.
Thanks as always Neze. One way you can have fun without spending so much especially during the summer is to cook at home put drinks in a cooler and go to the park with your family for a picnic. I went for a BBQ yesterday in a very large park somewhere in Ontario and I saw soo many families doing that. In addition you can also explore paying in instalments when you buy furniture, electronics etc to help manage your expenses. God you dearest Neze. Always delighted to listen to you. Thank you for letting our folks back home know life is not as easy as they think. Hope you visit Ontario someday and plan a meet up with your subscribers
Bar Neze... Do you know why I like your youtube channel is because of your honesty...kudos to u and your entire family. ..pls!let them know in Nigeria how to appreciate even u sent little money back home to assist our people
I used to live in the USA before moving to Canada. I noticed that clothes are cheaper int he USA, so you might consider making a trip to the USA to purchase clothes.
Agreed with you in that clothes are much cheaper in the United States than in Canada. I think because United States have a more bigger market in regards to clothes, and because the United States dollar 💵 has more value than the Canadian dollar. Peace 🕊️.
@@Emma_forever21 housing cost in the USA is much cheaper. One reason is that the population in the USA is more than 300 million while Canada only has 38.93 million people!

Canada lifestyles are more expensive than the US. Reason being that US economy is more open to entrepreneurial ventures. Some expenses mentioned are not a necessity. I.e Subscriptions , cleanings, Car is a must .car financing , insurance, oil change. Then accommodation. You can reduce your cost of car maintenance by merging your car insurance and home insurance. Then gift major store membership cards and collect point and redeem that when necessary. A Costco card is necessity. As a first car, get a hail fairly impacted car and low mileage. They are cheaper for a first car.
@neze Omds amusement park, my parents took me and my siblings to dat park, even nearly 70 year old woman!!! I didn’t know dis park even existed to pass on to ur generation, after the war my dad went back to his job in Lagos and we visited Lagos for the first time from the East, dat was where they took us to 🥰🥰🙏🙏😍😍❤️❤️
On the car washing, how do you do it? There is a bar sticker that is scanned before entering the washing ramp. Will you be removing it from one car to the other? Excellent video. Thank you.
I thought in one of your vlog you said sporting activities are free or funded by organizations. Life abroad isn't a joke especially when you keep converting both currencies. You can get lost in the air. Just live without trying to convert the currencies.
I said you can get a maximum of $500 in sporting grant . I did not say it was free. One month summer program for a child at YMCA can cost up to $2,000.
My dear not be only you oooh who don't like oyebo food. Who cares about pizza, pasta and all that oyebo nonsense food when swallow is available to lick the fingers 😂
In Canada you don't pay hospital bill if you are a Canadian or permanent resident. You can pay for medications that your insurance does not cover. I did surgery upto 5 times in the hospital and I didn't pay any money.
It’s already paid for with our taxes, unless you have medication or services that aren’t covered. Even those things might be covered by additonal insurance given by your work/post-secondary school if you have benefits.

It all has to do with the dollar equivalent, as mentioned earlier. The dollars are not the same. Hence things being cheaper in the USA vs. Canada.
Neze you are a very lucky woman. May God continue to help you and your family
Thank u Neze for this video, so people will know exactly what it takes living abroad.

One month summer program for a child at YMCA can cost up to $2,000.
Tell me about it. You didn’t mention rent / mortgage. People pay $2000 - $3000 monthly on mortgage or rent.
She wrote it in the video that this is PART 2!
