Hey Nick, this XS is amazing, I have just received and installed on my Dmax. The first setting I used was Auto and had a giggle on the way to work. After work I tried the hike it mode, straight away I had the biggest grin and laughed all the way home, and watched the fuel consumption go up as well. Hey Todd, there isn't anything that you really need to worry about with fitting a throttle controller to your vehicle. It is not like a tune or anything like that. It basically just boosts the throttle signal but still keeps it inside the factory parameters.
This throttle controller is more advanced, has more features, better design and is more user friendly. You can see all of the differences on the hikeit website linked above 🙂 its completely up to you if you want the latest and greatest throttle controller or if you are happy with the older model 🙂 Thanks for watching
Hi, I like your videos a lot and I am a subscriber because it helps me and others, if you don't mind can you give feedback regarding safety issues, My question is what if the throttle controller's device suddenly fails? or was the little wire accidentally cut? Do we still have the control of gas pedal, especially on the highway? or it will be back to normal mode? Thank you for hoping you can enlighten us. thank you again!
Hey Blair! The Hikeit XS is a much better unit. It has heaps more settings and modes to play with. Faster processor, meaning the auto mode works really well. It has an auto dimming back light so the unit doesn't blind you at night. It has anti theft mode, valet mode, overtake mode and anti slip mode as well as all of the other modes. It is a completely new design as well which makes it easier to use and navigate. There is more info on the hikeit website as well if you would like to see all the details 😊
This throttle controller is miles ahead of the Idrive. It has heaps more modes and settings to play with. It has an auto dimming backlight so you don't get blinded by the backlight at night. Faster processor, meaning the auto IQ mode works alot more accurately then the Idrive. As you can see from the video it is a completely new design which makes it super easy to use and navigate through the modes and settings.
