The sad thing about the really nice old guns is you really can't display them in your home without the fear of them being stolen. Damn thieves ruin everything when it comes to owning nice things.

The last produced nickel Colt SAA in the video is probably from the same batch that was in storage at Colt in WW2. This batch was bought by the British Weapons Purchasing Commission that bought whatever they could lay their hands on. Some of these SAAs were dropped by parachute to a sabotage unit operating in and around the capital Oslo in German occupied Norway. The unit that received some of these Colt SAAs in named Milorg D-13/AKS 13000. These guys crippled Nazi infrastructure in Norway so the Germans were unable to move 250000 soldiers from Norway to continental Europe in the last 9 months of the war. Milorg D13 is probably the last military unit that was officially issued with the Colt SAA.
The activities of D-13 is intertwined with the SOE-agents in the movie "Man of War/Max Manus" and the current movie on Netflix "Number 24". The most active agent from D-13 was Per Roed who personally led an participated in 25 acts of sabotage against the Nazies. th-cam.com/video/WbK4WTQFf9U/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/G-ZgBViju5g/w-d-xo.html

I went to the antique arms show in Vegas in 2022, worst gun show I’ve ever been to. Only half the tables filled and half the tables are just engravers with 24 month wait times and people selling Chinese knives. Then when you find guns they’re not for sale or the little paper tag says $17,000 or $45,000 like that’s a normal price. Only place you’re gonna see original 1860 Henry’s sold like a $50 Iver Johnson.
I went to find a couple Remington rolling blocks and there wasn’t a single one at the entire show.

Ammo² just sounds like a middleman to take your money that you could just be using to buy more ammo. Neat concept, but not economically a very smart choice. I guess some people have more money than time and can't be bothered.
