Those lock in valve connectors aren't great. They don't have as good of a seal as a screw on. I end up having to hold it straight so it doesn't lose pressure. If you are letting a machine automatically fill a tire just use the screw on.

Thing is, I was just thinking yesterday how much I _really like_ my similar little brass screw-on type valve fitting on my cheapo but remarkably robust Pittsburgh 12V 100 psi pump, when compared to those lever-type fittings on many other pumps. The thought of paying roughly twice what I paid a few years back for the whole pump itself (20-something bucks on sale?) on the nozzle kit shown that I'm pretty sure would be a real struggle to get through my elderly RV's rear duallies' inner wheel access holes is kind of a non-starter. To be honest, I've been astounded by how robust that Pittsburgh pump has been. I had to open it up and reseat a sort of O-ring seal for its cylinder head leaf spring check valve with a dab of gasket seal about a year ago, but other that that simple 5-screw fix, I just keep running the snot out of that little thing year after year without complaint. Little wonder to me that it earned high praise a while back over on that _Project Farm_ channel in head-to-head tests with other pumps. However, 'Horror Fright's' cheaper yellow plastic offerings for roughly $10 are best avoided at all costs. They are truly excremental, not even intended for car tires (see the fine print), and will burn out with the first use.

You can either "drill" all the way through with the bit, or once you get close with the drill bit, take a clean needle and poke through gently.

I remember a long time ago I was doing something on the workbench one day and had my sandals or slippers on and dropped a half drive long ratchet on my big toe. The socket didn't seat into the ratchet properly and the ratchet slipped falling on my toe. My toe nail turned bluish blackish and it hurt for a good 15 minutes. Took a few months for the nail to grow out.
