A 400 mile road ride on our duals sports (DRZ and WR250R) led us to Moab, Utah, where we spent two very different days of riding.

Day one we spent riding Dead Calf Trail and the surrounding areas. Day two we rode to the Shafer Switchbacks from Potash road. Two vastly different days, vastly different terrain, yet all doable on the trusty, reliable, and extremely capable dual sport motorcycles!

Just did a ride there first 2 weeks of October. My best friend steve and I on xr650ls. What a great time. Potash rd and the Schaeffer switchbacks are definitely a must do in the moab area. Also absolutely must stop at the green river overhang. Just stunning views. I like this format. Cool music and lotsa great video...win win my friend.
Anyone who watches this will fall in love with the terrain and dream of riding here. Great job capturing the dream!
Did the Potash trail to the Canyon land entrance yesterday. My favorite bike ride I've ever done. Thank you for the recommendation.

10x better than a scripted voice over. Much preferred in my book.
Your videos have improved my quality of life, I'm serious. If I'm having a bad day or feeling unmotivated I watch one and suddenly everything is brighter. I only get 10-14 days a year to ride out west, and about 5-6 days of that is spent driving there and back from Chicago with my bike in tow. I can live vicariously through you in the mean time. Those closest to me who do not ride have a better understanding of the joy we, as riders, experience. I look forward to each new video. Thank you Tyler.
So that first trail looks amazing in all of it's CDS toe curling, ledge climbing, never gonna happen glory. I'm sure glad you flimed it so I can watch it with all of my toe bones attached and happy. Loving the new format! Do more of this, I totally dig it.
We rode in the Tubes and Dead Cow wash just 2 weeks ago. Really fun stuff!
Those views from Potash Road were simply breathtaking. What an amazing place to ride.
This is one of your best videos yet from an aesthetic point. Not only was the scenery itself shockingly gorgeous, you did an amazing job with some of the footage from potash road. The drone shots really added to the whole thing. And the music for this one was just fantastic. Bravo all around. And, yeah, kinda liked the riding voice-over better. Yeah, it was rougher than a polished script, but it was far more natural. You're getting better at the more extemporaneous utterances on the bike and I think, as a rider, that doing it while riding makes the whole thing more vital. Not telling you to completely eschew the scripted stuff as you do some beautiful work there, just that this one worked really well too.
Even hermit can't give this one a thumbs down... Wonderful as always.

One of the most gorgeous parts of the country. I like in the moment commentary rather than scripted voice overs. Plus I'd rather you be out riding than sitting at home. As always, great content!

Tyler thanks for the great vid. I was in Moab in early October. Found out I was losing my job thanks to a facility closing and figured its now or never. Drove 2000+ miles from NJ one way solo and enjoyed every second of the 8 days I spent in Moab. Thanks for the additional vids with the drone, if just one person is as inspired by your video to go and see this for themselves they will realized whatever effort it takes to get there is worth it ! I cant wait to return ! Within the first 60 minutes on the trail every grueling minute of driving became worth it !
Absolutely loved this video. That guy Ty can really throw that KTM around! That trail looked super gnar too. I bet Levi was amazed at the switch backs. That is by far one of my favorite places in this world that I have seen so far. Sucks that Curt's bike broke, I remember hearing about that. I'm also noticing that I've liked all these videos so I probably did watch them, I don't care though, really enjoying watching them again.

wow. i think i'll have to put moab on my bucket list tyler! what time of the year is best over there? aweseome to see your riding, videography and editing and everything just keeps getting better and better too. :)
My man, Moab is excellent from mid April through about June, then it gets bloody hot! (But, with good hydration can still be ridden) then again from about late September through mid November. I would say May and October are peak months for riding. This first trail section is one that is not marked on any maps, only the locals know about it :) By the way, we be locals!! Lol You would love the diversity and beauty of this place Barry :)

You guts clench, your toes try to pop into reverse all on their own and your vision goes telescopic and the snaps back while your mouth makes a “O”. Yah your shot above the Colorado did that to me. I didn't mind the "giggling" and commentary stuff I felt it added to it to show how you were reacting during the ride mixed in with your commentary after the fact. Thank for posting!

I really like this format. This is actually great from both standpoints. For the creator because you can just focus on enjoying a amazing trip without having to worry about what to say all the time. And for the viewer it isn't a simple voice over from behind a PC.
