The Pereiaslav Agreement or Pereyaslav Agreement was not between Kyiv but between the Zaporizhzian Cossacks and the Russian Tzarist Empire. Ukraine always tries to create this myth that the Varangan Vikings, who spoke Norse, were their forebearers, which is untrue. They were destroyed by the Mongols, which they never mentioned. It is like they never existed! The Vikings established Novgorod in 852 and extended their trade routed down the Dinipro River with the goal of trading with Constantinople. The Soviets significantly expanded the Ukraine SSR by incorporating Galicia and Volhynia in 1939 and Hungarian Transcarpthia and Romanian Berrasabia in 1945. Before that, all of the Russian Empire-founded cities-Odesa, Mykolaiv, Melitipol, Berdyansk, Mariupol, Tokmak, Dinipro, Dontesk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv-were added to the Ukrainian SSR. Ukraine has a habit of lying about its origins, hence its predicament! Ukraine never won a war independently; Russians established all hydroelectric, Nuclear, Aerospace, and Aviation enterprises.
