Why Call of Duty Zombies is Dead

- Ever since 2018, Call of Duty Zombies has been jumping up and down in terms of popularity, and due to the current state of COD Zombies, I find it relevant now to dig into why COD Zombies is dead, and how this could have happened. Call of Duty Zombies naturally declines between games however, the mode is now in a position where I don't think I believe it will recover. Immense damage has been done to COD Zombies thanks to Black Ops 4 Zombies, Black Ops Cold War Zombies, and Vanguard Zombies, and now, we likely won't get another Treyarch Call of Duty Zombies game until the end of 2024. So, what's next? In this video I hope to discuss the current state of COD Zombies and explore my thoughts on where I think it will end up moving forward.

Cold War had so much potential but I gotta agree the maps are what killed it for me, each new map ending up being bigger, empiter, easier, and more souless. It felt wayyy to easy to get to high rounds with all of the new mechanics. If activision wanted an infinite money glitch they could make a COD Zombies legacy collection akin to the most recent MGS one with WAW-BO3, fix the hacker problems, add splitscreen to PC, and sell it for $40-$60. It would sell gangbusters. Sadly B06 doesnt look great, it seems to have the same problems as Cold War :(

Unfortunately I have to agree. After the OG zombies characters left, it's been a total downslide. Cold wars maps are fun but the story that goes with it just doesn't have the same effect that the black ops 1-3 had imo.
On top of that, imo multi-player is also dying. Compare it today to how it was in the old days, just isn't the same anymore. The battle passes, pay walls, etc, is just ridiculous.
For me my problem with Cold war was that it tried too hard to appeal to casuals by making Easter eggs and high rounds brain-dead easy at the detriment of the hard-core community, while at the same time artificially inflating the difficulty of the EEs through tedious and annoying steps(looking at you, Firebase Z mimic step)
Also coming back to say fuck you to the Legion boss fight, insane difficulty spike for an otherwise brain-dead easy EE
Salvatory will revive the Zombies community

@@Proxzia_ they made a game with amazing gameplay but awful story then a game with a good story but awful gameplay that changed way too much and alienated the older fans for no reason it's the zombos dude also "catering so much to the casual market that it made every single map feel bland and safe" is literally what happened with 3 Houses lol
