- Join Cali and I at the cabin for dinner cooked in the outdoor forest kitchen, long walks on the beach and work on the side porch of the log cabin. Wildlife is very active this week at the homestead with countless birds, moose and deer stopping by.

A man with his dog is a happy man.
Couldn't agree more. It's a path of Heaven when you can take your Dog with you. And it's Hell if you're asked to walk seperately. I learned that in an episode of Twilight Zone 1959. Amazing story of a farmer who died with his dog, and the gatekeeper tells him that he'll have to get inside alone as there's only Human policy and also says Dog get into their seperate place. The farmer rejects the offer and chooses to walk to go to Hell with his Dog if Heaven dosen't him. As he walks, another gatekeeper comes looking for him and invites him to go to Heaven. He looks at him and says that his colleague also offered the same, but he is told he can't take his Dog so he rejected it. But this gatekeeper tells him " The place where you walked into earlier was Hell and the gatekeeper was lying and was trying to lure him to Hell. "Place where I'm taking to is the real Heaven where you and your Dog can live peacefully there with nobody to bother."
Nothing compares to the beauty of God's creation. You would never be bored in this environment. Cali is absolutely adorable, it's always fun to watch her play.

My golden retriever Uma recognizes your music and comes running from wherever she is to watch Cali and never takes her eyes off the screen. We both love watching you on your journey.

@@jjpicker My sister and I talk about our dogs watching TV. I have a shih-tzu that will watch the start of The Lone Ranger, then leave when the show starts. She has a chihuahua that loves to sit and watch show dogs. What makes it even funnier was that when we were kids we were told that dogs can't see anything on TV because it has no smell and they ignore it. Seems the past "experts" didn't know what they were talking about!

Omg, I just wrote that I lost my little pup last night too. I had to put her down, stomach Cancer. I couldn't continue watching this . My Heart is Completely Broken today, I'm Sick to my stomach and Can't stop crying right now. I'm sorry for you as I am for myself. My little Milkshake was the Only one in this world who loved me.

I brought my Granddaughter in to see this video. It is so wonderful to show her the beauty that surrounds you. And...we adore Cali lol. She loved seeing the Moose and Deer, so beautiful! The night time sky was amazing! Thank you for capturing all of those moments so we can watch them together.

I'm so jelly of this life. lol I used to run around outside constantly as a kid and play in streams, etc. We lived in Wisconsin for several years and had a stream and woods at the back of our property. I miss being close to nature. So relaxing and I love wildlife.

That is what I miss most about this lock-down, not being able to sit by a river and listen to the sounds of life erupting from Mother Earth and soon it will be Summer and still the confinement goes on - 2020 will go down in the history as the worst year on record. When ever I’m hiking in the woods and come across running water - stream, book or river - there is a certain comfort I take knowing it will end up in the ocean... and then back again in a running stream, brook or river

The way you depict your life was the driving force in convincing us that we could do the same. Just want to thank you once again for a beautiful vlog. Two months ago they amputated part of my foot I’ve been stuck in a care home for two months and finally made it home. Jeff's wife again I took a trip of my own three weeks ago just myself and two dogs spent two days by myself. A weekend with family and by Sunday I was waiting for everyone to leave just so I could have my idea of peace. I guess it's different with different people but what your doing is wonderful. What a lovely video. This is what I did when I was younger. Take me, my little dog and drive my van out in the wilderness of AZ and just sit quietly and watch nature! So calming and relaxing. The loon calls were appreciated, Shawn!

Some people like this more simpler living what shawns doing and honestly if i had the means to live off grid like this i would i dont like living in the city i prefer this what shawns doing building his home with his own hands living off the land as much as possible.

Although Niagara Falls may have height / power and millions of tourists it cannot hold a candle to the sheer beauty and tranquility of this wonderful little stream at the 12:00 point of your video. Thank you once again Shawn for this momentary escape from the city life.

I so love to watch these over and over. The wildlife at the end is so beautiful. I love the drone flying by the huge trees. I love it flying over everything but also flying by the huge pines. I’m sitting here alone trying to go to bed without eating. It is impossible to watch Shawn cook and not fix food even leftovers. What a nice end to my day.💖

You're tearing my heart out. I am born and raised in Ontario. I sailed the ships to the Lakehead and through the St. Lawrence to Sorel Quebec. I worked the mines of the north and refineries of the southern lake regions, then pipelined west making webs of gas and oil lines in Alberta. In the summer I spent dog day afternoons cooling my flesh in Georgian Bay and winters in a snowsuit deep in the white snows of Muskoka. I am no prophet or priest, but only what is known as Canadian, thru and thru. You're breaking my heart!
