I think the powder Ross said is used for bowling is used in different places. I didn't know there wasn't powder in some bowling alleys until Max and Ashlie said they never heard of it. I always use it when bowling.

8:00 Ross, as a bowler myself i understand what you are talking about. The dust we used is called powder. We use it so that our hands don't become sweaty and we can grip the ball better. You can also use a small hand towel to dry off your hands as well.

Around 8:09 in the vid where Ross was talking about the powder used at the bowling alleys. It is used by many people when bowling. It is called a rosin bag. My HS Bowling team uses a lot of it because it helps us grip the ball better when our hands are sweaty or if the thumb hole of our ball is a little too big.

7:52 coming from a personal bowler, ross is talking about a “rosin bag” it’s a sewed circle or square bag, that’s kind of like a bean bag toss thing, it has powder in there which is in the rosin, and it helps bowlers either 1) hook the ball if they are taught that way yet, and or 2) helps bowlers from keeping their hands from getting sweaty! so ross is correct, just not a lot of people know about them, my coach didn’t even know about them until i told him.

There is sticking and non sticking powder for bowling. It helps with the bowling ball from falling out of your hand or sticking to your fingers.

7:48 As someone who has bowled her entire life I can confirm that Ross is correct about having "dust" at a bowling alley which is pretty much chalk and its suppose to help keep a good grip on your bowl so you don't throw it backward (like I have two times)
You powder your fingers that you use to bowl because it keeps those fingers from getting stuck. Also if you eat while bowling, you want to eat with the opposite hand you bowl with to keep your bowling hand clean!

Bowlers use the powder to make their hands less sticky. So like if their thumbs are sticking they use that to help it get stuck less but use to much it makes your hands to slippery.

My friend used to go too school in Australia and her school had an ice skating rink, and she was the only one who was really good at it so everyone would cling to her
