I kinda hate how fixated the panelists were about her gender. It defeats the purpose of the mask if the only thing of your concern is what gender the singer is; not how passionately and how much of their heart the singer is putting into the performance. Aside from that though, I want to thank Nine9 for being so brave to be able to sing on stage again. It's been so hard for many of us and so I can't even begin to imagine how much she's been going through. She is so strong.
they were trying to figure out who is the singer , thats why they kept thinking is she or a he ? Nine is sooo great she made them and me too wonder her gender , her voice is that unique
its their job to guess who is the singer. To narrow the possibility they try to "categorize" her. if she is man or woman, idol or not, singer or not, etc. if you want the panelist only give reaction for the sing then what is the difference with the others spectators in studio?

i've been an avid listener of dear cloud for years and i must admit nine's voice is the most androgynous rock vocalist i've ever heard, when i first got into dear cloud i never googled to find out what her gender was because i loved the ambiguity and i really couldn't tell if she was male or female

She reminds me of a very great band vocalist whom I really love listening to, Kay Cal. She too has this manly voice and she looks like a guy too. Anyways her performance is really amazing! Daebak!
